Attraction is *so* strongly linked to society that this argument that we're evolutionary or genetically programmed simply cannot hold up.
In ancient Greece women with wide, high hips and small breasts were considered the most attractive, in other times it was attractive to be overweight or to be dangerously underweight (or waist trained such that you were of ridiculous proportions). These things aren't necessarily evolutionarily beneficial at all.
