Me and OH are trying to conceive, I’ve read that tight boxers or briefs are not good for fertility, not keen on loose fitting boxers, I’ve read that jock straps are meant to be as good as loose fitting boxers as they pull your balls away from body to keep them cool and supported. What do men who wear these think of them and what’s your opinion ladies? Sexy or not sexy?
As a bloke, try to eat organic, don’t overdo drinking or smoking and don’t eat Quorn. What about Jockey shorts?
Thanks for reply,
Just looking for opinions on jock straps if people like or find sexy too
We went the boxer route when trying to conceive (were living in a hot climate at the time) and for me I think it was all a waste of time. I guess if you are walking around a lot then the testicles are away from the body but if you are sat down a lot they just get scrunched up against the body (for me more than briefs).
There are sexy briefs out there that support and keep the balls away from the body (and visually promote what is on offer) that my OH thinks look good (can't give links as they are to other sites), can't immediatly see anything on LoveH of the sort.

Why don't you eat Quorn?

Having not worn a jock strap, I can't comment on comfort, but they are incredibly popular (we sell a lot of them!)
I do think, however, that they are extremely flattering. Lots of our customers find them sexy, that's for sure! :)
I am listening to a fertility podcast at the moment and funny enough they have just done an episode on balls and heat!
So one the listeners were told by their fertility clinic to cut a hole in the boxers to let the balls hang looser to keep the temp down and sure enough, after 4 months his sperm count massively increased.
I am off home now but I will pop in tomorrow and link you to the episode :)
Don’t sit with your laptop on your lap if you’re a bloke. The heat from it isn’t good for your sperm count.
I was jokingly going to suggest a water-cooled codpiece refrigerated by a Peltier heat pump but, having done a quick google search it seems the idea has been patented!
Mrs G likes me to wear Jocks - especially likes the access for pegging.
I never sit with laptop on lap as I know the heat is so bad for you, haven’t done that in years.
Thanks leanne look forward to hearing the pod cast, I know it take a while for the sperm count to increase 11 weeks for sperm production by all accounts when I was reading.
Thanks jess I do quite like the look of them as look a bit like thongs which I also like, it’s good to get a female opinion on what they look like or what they think of them on guys. The other good thing with them I read is they pull your ball away from body to help keep them cooler.
I may consider getting a couple to try them out see how I feel as stopped wearing tight boxers and briefs for now and only wear loose boxers which I hate the look of and how they feel on and when get home I get in to loungewear and take boxers off to try help with keeping area cooler
Still any other opinions of these from ladies or guys happy to hear
You could always go 'Au natural' at home and see how she likes that look?
Another thing I was meant to avoid was caffine as that was meant to be an issue according to my doctor.
Yeah I already do go commando at home,
Caffeine really best get decaf then
currently looking where to buy some jocks to try
If only Lovehoney sold jockstraps......

Doctors take all the fun out of life :)
I have worn them for years but the OH it not convinced. I find them very comfortable perfect for hot weather. We had our first while I was wearing them full-time so did the job for us!

More an issue for those couples (I include myself) who struggle for a long time to have kids.
Lots of unwanted kids come into the world and lots of couples who desperately want a child

I totally agree, PM - we seem to see so many little ones that look uncared for, and their parents shouting and swearing at them in shops! dunno why they have kids then treat them that way!!
I'm gonna buy a few Jocks for Mr.Spider...not that we want any more rug-rats...I'm 52 so far too old for that palaver! Plus when I was younger, I only had to look at a guy to conceive!! He gets an achey bollock from time to time, he never wears pants so I think he needs some support! He's seen the GP who has said there's no problem, and it's probably due to an old groin strain which happened years ago when he played footy.

The podcast is called:
Matt and Doree's Eggcellent Adventure. The episode about balls is no 29: Ball cooling.
I listen on Spotify but I know it is on iTunes too.
Sperm is a 3-month regeneration cycle, so I guess that is why it was 4 months for the ball cooling process to work for this couple that shared their story :)
Hope the episode may be helpful to you on your baby making journey!
PS sorry for going off the topic of jock straps... Please continue lol

I'm curious about this too. I assume it's regarding the Mycoprotein. The only negative thing I've heard about it is that the FSA states that 1 in 100,000 to 200,000 people are allergic to it, though.
Thanks Lee Anne for the podcast I will take a look sounds interesting, yeah hopefully will help with the baby making in mean time can have fun trying.
I know Lovehoney sell jock straps and looking at other styles of these too,
Db glad they helped you guys get the baby you wanted, what did your oh not like about them?
