Welcome to the forum Amanda! I didn’t know that you can’t change your username yet, that must be a new thing since I started.
Like you said, just be yourself and be kind and respectful of others and you should be fine. Have a read of the rules like others have said. Most of them are fairly obvious but there are a few that catch people out, these are the ‘life starts at 18’ rule and the no erotica rule.
It’s very friendly and supportive here!

I would call the photography section quite erotic 
Yes the photo bit is when you reach level 2 which takes around 15 days and you have to have done a few things like liking a few people’s post’s. It won’t be long and you will be able to see all the pictures that have been posted. Remember photo’s must not show nipples (both male and female) or male/female genitalia. All photo’s are moderated by Brenna within LoveHoney. @user1365

There are several ways to navigate the threads, whether by going by category, reading What’s new (marked with a purple bullet point) or just reading anything above the ‘since your last visit’ separator.
Don’t worry about jumping into a conversation - it’s actually against the forum rules to engage in one-to-one conversations in public, so you won’t be interrupting anyone, unless they’re breaking the rules
Also, unlike some places I’ve seen (cough Reddit cough), mob mentality is against the rules here too. We’re encouraged to be nice and supportive of one abother, and if you do find a post offensive, you can always flag it for moderation (or mute the user in your settings).

Firstly, welcome to the forum!
I’m sure you should have been able to pick a forum name when you signed up. I think the process may have become less obvious though as there have recently been a lot more usernumber sign ups than there used to be. There was a discussion about it recently in The Sandbox

Yes you are indeed correct. There have been loads of new sign ups lately with “userxxx” recently. I did put up a post about it, and if I remember @Lovehoney_Brenna did reply and said she would make sure that it was clear how to set a username at the beginning.
People must be missing something subtle? xx

Welcome @user1365. I think that you will certainly enjoy being here. As you are no doubt finding out, there are some great discussions about a whole variety of topics and members are very open about what they get pleasure from. So there is no problem about getting fully involved and sharing your thoughts, desires etc. As you say, it’s a very exciting place to be!

Yep @Latino_Caliente , it was your query and subsequent conversation that I linked to in the first paragraph of my post above. It’s very frustrating as generic forum names and no profile photos make it very hard to keep track of who’s who with new forum members. I’m sure it’s frustrating for them too, as @user1365 has demonstrated.
