Kegel balls - which ones?

I'm considering buying a set of kegel balls but have never used them before and dont know what to go for. I'm tempted by the glass ones on this site but would they be the best to begin with? Any advice very much appreciated!

I've tried loads of kegel sets so I hope I can help. I've tried these 3 sets and found them way too light for me - it was no challenge whatsoever to keep them in. If you can put a kegel set in and keep it in for hours on end while walking around then it's too light/big for you and you need something smaller and heavier. Generally if you're young and haven't had children you'll probably need something relatively heavier.

My absolute favourite is the Ami +: http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=32417. Check out my review if you want detailed info. This could be a good one to try (depending on your age and whether you've given birth).

I've also tried the swoon ones (tuncomfortable to insert), LELO noir (difficult to clean) and Lovehoney brand silicone ones, all of which were too big and light to be a challenge for me. I've also tried the Fifty Shades inner goddess ones which are great, but very heavy, so I wouldn't start with these.

Message back if you need more info. And remember, Lovehoney has an excellent returns policy, so you can send them back if they're not right for you and get another set.

Thanks for your help Ruby, I've read your review, haven't had children but still a little intimidated by the Ami + weight, not sure my pelvic floor is in good enough shape for these! Need to wait for pay day anyway so have time to think about it, as you said Lovehoney's fab returns policy makes it easier to try things!

If it's any help, I hadn't done any kegel training before and most of the sets were still too light for me. If you like the look of the Ami one you may want to try the 3 step set and then progress to the Ami+ : http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=20747

I am just writing my review the Ami set, and I also have the Lelo Luna minis ones.If you try Lelo and did not have kids, I would recommend the Mini

I have to admit I like the heaviest Ami in this set http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=20747, but the heaviest is lighter than the one Ruby linked an this may be bit better for you. Back when I bought it, the really heavier and more tricky ones were not so available.

However, I really cannot stad the cord used to remove it. Am I weird? But no matter how I place it, it is irritating me on the outside and it is really uncomfortable. Or maybe i am just doing something wrong...? Back then I kept it for the weight, as this was the heaviest available at LH.

With these you can experiment with them and have any weight from 15g to 90g :) they are good if you are unsure of which weight is right for you http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=30892

Hi I'm an experienced kegal user and my absolute favourites are the FSOG inner goddess balls, but this set are something to work up to. As a beginner I really think these are great http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=31067. If you have not had any children then maybe start with the heavier ones (they are sold separately.) if you have had kids a perfect start point.

They are comfortable to use, easy to clean and have a removal cord. Well worth considering.

Hey. I too am looking for some of these. I've never had kids however due to self-neglect I have a really sensitive bladder... Don't think I would be able to handle heavier ones and need something comfortable and easy to clean/maintain but also not so expensive that my bank will give me a ring. Any answers would be amazing! Thanks in advance X

If you're on a budget, I'd highly rec the LoveHoney purple ones, especially if you can get them in the sale (they were a few days ago). They're a great diameter for feedback as they're fairly girthy. Having a physical feedback will help your confidence as you know you're using the right muscles.

My first set were the Tracey Cox ones - way too long for me and very uncomfortable.

I'm up to the Ami+ now (love these), and am now looking forward to trying the heaviest FSOG set.

Which brings me on to the interchangeable FSOG set that I received as a gift on an order. I wish I'd tried these first as they're so versatile. You can change the weight numerous ways and then upgrade to using them without the cradle. They're a great size diameter for a workout, too.

Have fun ;-)

Thankyou! That really helps 😊 I have some on my wish list... But il try those! They sound really good

Thank you everyone for yor input, the FSOG range does look good, thinking the interchangeable set may be a starting point before moving to the Ami+ and then to the inner goddess set. My wishlist gets longer by the day!
