We’ve been using the home IPL laser treatment from Braun.

Can only recommend it! We are looking to book permanent removal when we have funds/confidence however. But the laser removal has been amazing

Thanks for the feedback, never thought of doing it at home

No personal knowledge on this or advice but I do know there has been certainly a few forum members that have had it done and have been smooth long term. The 2 members are can remember seem to have stopped using the forum but I am sure you will get many responses from other forum members soon. Good luck

My wife has always shaved, as she doesn’t like it too long.

Since a friend said she got a regular wax, wife hasn’t looked back!

Once a month is enough for her, and while wouldn’t mind either way, i must admit i like it too.

My wife uses the home kit too.

Have a look at previous threads on this.

A lot of differing options came out on this last time, but all I can say it’s worked for my wife and saved us £100’s.

This is a great topic to bring up @hagions! I also have been curious as well as my wife. We have both been considering getting laser treatments. I’m a little nervous about it in the public area, probably because I’m just not well informed. But having that done to my penis/testicle areas makes me nervous.

I’d love to hear from others as well regarding this. Very tired of shaving every couple days and waxing seems like a lot of commitment too.

Both myself and my wife had full laser treatment down there. We had it done at a salon with medical grade lasers. Its worked great.

It was 120 euro per session forr me, I think I had 8 sessions over 12 to 18 months. My wife had 6 or 7 sessions. She paid 80 euro per session for full hollywood bikini and underarms. This was 10 years ago or more, so prices will be more now. So for my wife she paid 560 euro total, but has saved at least 30 euro from waxing per month, so 360 per year savings. There are a few stray hairs we shave off around 4 times a year.

Regarding the long time it takes to complete sessions, we were not expecting instant results, but here is the surprising thing: It is almost instant (in a way). Let me explain:

Hair has 3 stages of growth, only the hair follicles in the “angen” stage of growth is permanently removed, the rest grows back slowly. So each session only 33% of hair is treated, and not every follicle will be fully destroyed. Thats why it has to be repeated many times.

But, even if the follicle is not destroyed, the complete hair (root and all) falls out 7 to 10 days after the first treatment. It then takes a couple of weeks before any surviving hair slowly grows back, but it is soft and very fine, and obviously very short. Much shorter and finer than regrowth after waxing. Then you have the next session and the cycle repeats, with the regrowth becoming more sparse after each session.

So, imagine the regrowth people get before their monthly waxing session. Your regrowth from laser is less than that after session 1, and gets much less each time. So you are not waiting over a year to see results if that makes sense.

There is no itching, ingrown hairs, or sharp stubble.

Be wary of buying bulk discount packages, these places have an interest in making you come back for many extra sessions after the course of 6 is finished. Find a place using full powered medical grade lasers and check their reviews. Home IPL doesn’t hold a candle to proper medical grade lasers. It may make a lot of the hair fall out but is not permanent.

I can’t recommed laser highly enough.

Any further questions just ask

Pros, it’s less hassle and will reduce/thin hair.

Cons, it can be costly and will take various sessions with no definite guarantee of full hair removal. Pube hair also tends to be more stubborn to laser I think…

That’s great insight you are providing @sexlover222! Very helpful!

Thank You!

It won’t compare to the fun of shaving or waxing, OH and my girlfriend shave my pubes and anal anal area every week, other times I go to the salon to get all over wax.

I did electrolysis must be over 4 years ago now, and it is great. No signs of new growth yet. Love being permanently smooth.

Just make sure before you start, because there is no going back.

Tap any ideas into the search bar and you will see previous threads on this.

I know laser hair removal has been discussed lots before, so have a read of these to help you weigh up the costs / pros and cons / reliability etc

Did the in home treatment for several months , alas I have to many white / lite grey hairs :sad_but_relieved_face: . So I went to see what a professional shop would charge me , holy crap ! The three sessions over 6 months would be more than I have paid for cars . As long as her “kissyface” hair is dark , should work a treat . In the state we live in , they have been paying for prison inmates laser treatment for cross gender inmates . That seems like tax dollars spent well .

I’ve had two different brands of home IPL kits.

The IPL kits I tried only slowed the hair growth down slightly, did ’t stop it growing completely, unfortunately.

My friend had a professional salon do hers, it’s completely bare.

She’s had no hair regrowth at all afterwards. She’s very happy with the results, three years now & still no regrowth.

The Home IPL kits won’t work on some lighter hair colours, not sure if the professional salon lazer treatments would either.

The ladies at the Solon I got a cost estimate from were quite confident they could get the white , lite grey hair . I oh so wish I could have afforded it . It also seemed like the ladies that worked there , along with female customers thought removing my hair seemed like a great idea . I felt like such a sex object ! I liked it . Maybe I should start a go fund me ?
