Lelo smart wand 2 - medium

OK, So bought this as a stocking filler for the Mrs at Xmas. I wanted to make sure it was charged beforehand, and also make myself familiar with it.
One thing that I cannot seem to access, or have completely misunderstood how it works, is the smart massage function. After rooting around on the internet I managed to find a manual - none in the box.
It says to press down the middle button for 3 seconds to activate this smart mode. Then to set the strength using the +/- buttons, then it should only ā€˜gently purr’ while not in contact with the body…not mine. It’s on or off, that’s it. So, is it faulty? Have I misunderstood the directions? Have I not understood how it’s meant to work?
I have to confess, I had hoped that the pressure/power increased the more pressure you applied, but it seems I definitely got that wrong - is there a toy out there that works this way?
As it is, apart from the intensity of the vibe on high power, it’s already a bit of a disappointment.
Can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong please? Or should I just return it perhaps as a faulty item?

Hello and welcome to the forums.

Did you find the official Lelo PDF user guide? If not it does have quite a detailed explanation of how it works.

As @DanceswithPenguins said, was it the official Lelo guide for the exact toy or a general one? You could look at Lelo’s website to see if there are any instructions.

You could always contact customer care by emailing them if you do believe it is faulty and they will send you another one.

I can’t help with the Lelo, but welcome to the forum

I don’t own this toy, but I found the user manual and also looked on the product page, and I can’t find anything about a smart function, just that it’s quiet, cordless, waterproof and has ten vibration patterns with different intensities

If you think it’s broken or faulty, you could contact customer care to replace it, but if you don’t think it’s broken, but it’s not what you were hoping for when you bought it, you could return it with the Sex Toy Happiness Promise. Since it was going to be a gift, you still have time to get something else that you and your OH might like better :slightly_smiling_face::yellow_heart:

One of the reviews says, ā€œthere is a nice feature where the vibrations get stronger the longer its in contact with the skinā€ - is that the smart function?

The SenseTouch ā„¢ Method

  • When in SenseTouchā„¢ mode, apply the vibrating tip on and around a tired or sore area of muscle in short 3-4 second intervals.
  • Press the wand firmly into the skin, hold until vibrations go up to maximum intensity, remove, and repeat.
  • After a few minutes of this, try holding the massager into the affected area for slightly longer durations until you are satisfied with your massage.

And the () button is apparently the button to select modes.

Yup, this is it, and I can’t get it to work at all. I did contact Lelo with my query, but rather than offer useful help/how to, just suggested I return it.

From your OP you suggest you thought it worked by applying more pressure, but the blurb seems to indicate that it’s the amount of time it’s applied for that increases the intensity.

Could that be the mix up?

OK, seems to be a bit of misleading product naming on the part of Lelo. It’s only the LARGE that has the sense touch function, not the medium… Return it is. Disappointing! Must make more of an effort researching next time.
I don’t suppose anyone that’s contributed to the thread thus far, can recommend any vibes/wands that are pressure activated and increase intensity with increased pressure?
