Depending on what you want from it,just take your time and experiment. Find what you need as we all have our own ideas and preferences. The position depends on the activity. If my partner is pegging me or using it to work my prostate then doggie is ok. If doing solo play I like laying on my back with my shoulders raised to make reaching for the toy easier and the other position I like mainly for the prostate play is to have one leg raised on the side of the bed or on something. I find this allows for me to have more control, but I usually end up on my knees or back as the legs can get a bit wobbly.
But everyone is different so take your time and explore, and don’t put too much pressure on yourself to get to the pleasure that you can read about. It can take time to learn what is nice and how to get there. Life is a learning process and everyone should enjoy the journey.
