Hello everyone. Please can anyone tell me about womens clothes shops specially lingerie clothes shops in Somerset that are male friendy?
Most of them will be if you say they are for a girlfriend... Your money as good as anyone's ;)
I'm sure any chain stores like Ann Summers (am I allowed to say that here) will be used to all sorts of things, even down in the shire p
There are a couple of really lovely underwear shops in Bath - but they look like you'd need to be able to splash the cash.
If it's for a special occasion then I'd recommend having a look. There is one in Milsom Place and another on Quiet Street. They are more than likely used to men buying presents - they look like they're the perfect place to treat someone.
Otherwise I'd say somewhere like Boux Avenue is a good one as it's reasonably priced and all the staff are keen to help and chat about sizing etc. Plus they have lovely packaging - I got some lingerie and they filled the bag with scented rose petals! They also do online shopping!

Just about everywhere is male friendly. I don't know about your area, but I emailed customer service at John Lewis, Simply Be, La Senza, Ann Summers and they all said they'd let me, a bloke, try stuff on in store, and Boux Avenue have let me in the past, so I don't expect you'd have a problem anywhere really.

theres hardly any in somerset, i live there myself, i cant find any sexy ones anywhere

nice of you to reply and nice that there is someone else here from Somerset!! There are lingerie shops in Somerset but what they are like and how male friendly they are I don't know. maybe I should try contacting them. Would be nice if we could chat more sometime?

Clarks used to have a couple of decent lingerie shops but not been there for a while. Taunton has an AS but its nothing special and there were a few La Senza's knocking around. So online shopping is probably your best option. With LH and their awesome returns policy, stock up, try it on and what you don't like, send back.

but I sell just more then that, I know I'll be spending upto £4000 a year on a sex shop license! and put a adv in the papers etc and the cllr agree! its too much hassle for a sex shop nowdays!
In clarks village, went there last week, only the crappy underwear shop (for OAP's kinda thing) la senza has been shut down, only a few majour stores are still open 
, try cabort, ann summers got some really nice stuff, i think that the store will be ok on a man buying stuff but obv not trying anything on. My Ex use to buy me sexy undies for crimbo from these shops, he had to ask for help but they were use to it, give it a go.

I agree about clarks Village, nothing there at all now. I believe there is a lingerie shop in Winscombe but I don't know what sort of things they sell there. Tell me more about the shop in WSM?
How about Weston-super=mare? They have a decent amount of new shops opened! If you fancy widening your area Bristol has some lovely boutiqey shops try them.

Hi, guess you are in Somerset too?
Boux Avenue is in the new Southgate area of Bath, in the purpose-built shopping square down by the train station. It is where La Senza used to be and is near Debenhams. I love it!
If you're wanting to try underwear on but are nervous of the reaction then I'd suggest doing as Da Pratsta did and calling or emailing ahead - you never know what the attitudes of some staff members will be, and that way you'll be sure to have a great shopping experience.

have had a look at their website, looks like a really good shop. tried to send a message through the site but just wouldn't send for some reason. Phoned instead and talked to a very helpful lady who told me about the lingerie she has in her shop and when i told her I wanted to buy for myself she said that was perfectly fine and that I would be able to try on anything I wanted to. We talked for quite a while about what I was looking for and what I like to wear and she was very helpful with hints and advice. would be fun if I had someone to go there with.
