Might be a strange question but I suppose you are the people to ask
I am looking to purchase some lingerie / underwear from LH. I know that LH do men’s lingerie however, I think I prefer the idea of purchasing some women’s lingerie for myself. Would anyone be able to assist in suggesting the best sizes (i.e. do they come up big or small??)
I am normally a size 34/36 inch waist (male) and, after having tried on OH’s knickers, I just about sneak in to a 10 but more comfortable in a 12 with all the added extras

At that size you’re definitely a 14 rather than a 12.
The best thing to do is to try one of each. We’ve both found that LH sizes are pretty accurate so if you find the best fit via LH lingerie then that will tell you where you are on the scale. Not all female clothing sizing is consistent though.
I always remember the +20 rule, sort of similar to what @batjamboree said, so for a 34-36 inch waist, a size 14-16 is going to be most comfortable on you. Especially, and as you say, you need to accomodate the “extras”

My OH is 10-12 and when I wear her knickers, they are quite nice round the back, quite snug (OH has an ample bottom - mine is less so). In effect, I think her “junk” cancels out some of my “extras”.
I’m not sure about anyone else, but I do like to feel quite tight and compact, especially at the back, when wearing them so not sure I want to go too big.
I’d agree that a 14 sounds about right. I wear a 14-16. My waist is a bit smaller than yours (33-34 inches) but I have a big bum and hips which you won’t have. If you want a snug fit but still want space for your “extras” as you put it, go for higher waist styles.
As a guy that loves wearing panties , I buy from multiple places . I generally follow the + 20 rule , however it is a guessing game . Sizes can very quite a little . I prefer them to be a bit snug , often my package almost fits . Even a hint of an erection and most panties will not contain my fun bits . I ordered some custom fit panties where they wanted exact measurements , including soft and full erection . The most expensive I have ever bought , but worth every penny . I shop in person for my lingerie. Just pop into somewhere like competitor or competitor. The assistants are really helpful when I say I’m shopping for myself. I’ve tried items on in both shops and had a bra fitting in competitor which helped me get the correct cup size etc.
I have a slightly larger waist and a size 14 to 16 is comfortable so I’d suggest you’re probably a 14.
A lot depends on brand, style and material but I think a 10 is slightly optimistic!
It really is trial and error though as women’s sizes are measured at slightly different points on the anatomy and, obviously, for a different shape body. I once tried sticking to a size/measurement guide and that came up with a size 20. Huge disappointment and very loose.
Have fun trying different things and then enjoy it once you do find your fit.
I can certainly relate to your point about being disappointed. I am enjoying my exploration of female lingerie but, as has often been mentioned, it is a challenge getting it right with the fit.
I generally get the size right and am about the same as you, opting for size 16. However, the shape is much more problematic.
It is easy to get carried away when you see something and think about how exciting it would be to wear, only to find that it isn’t suitable, which has happened on a few occasions for me.
Still, it’s all part of the process and worth it for the pleasure that arises when it does work out!
@SPstroker64 I now shop in stores for my lingerie and ask an assistant to help find my sizes no problem trying it in the fitting room either I even had a bra fitting no questions asked always find assistants are eager to help
I must admit that getting some personal assistance when purchasing lingerie sounds quite exciting and would add another thrilling dimension to it. However, I don’t think I’m quite ready for that yet. Maybe it’s something I need to work on!
@SPstroker64 it’s great fun, I’m really quite nervous but it’s pretty exciting sexually. I think it’s important to just keep it casual though for the sake of decency. I do admit that I’ve taken pics of myself in the changing room mirror though. Nothing indecent but still very much exciting. I think the most exciting lingerie shopping trip was the time I went wearing my full set of lingerie and wearing a couple of fake pearl bracelets which were definitely visible. During the conversation with the assistant I mentioned that the bra I was wearing was a 36B etc
