Hi just wondered if anyone else has had this problem. Im over 6ft and hubby would love to see me in a basque set. The problem ive found is that while i can find the bigger cup sizes ok, they seem out of proportion and are simply not long enough in the body where most of my height is. Many come with suspenders but ones ive tried are literally cant reach down to any potential stockings.
Are there any tall ladies or partners of who can help or have they found any of the products here more suitable for taller and curvier ladies?
Great question. Following
Hey I seem to recall @CurvyJilly is tall so may be able to help?
Bodystockings are generally quite good for different body types, but they’re very much not basques.
Good luck
@FluffyK - I’m not as tall as you but yes I find more rigid basques do tend to come too short
I’ve popped a link to this topic in the Pander to me one.
Although it doesn’t affect me, I think it could be a good idea for LH to have a range of options for taller bodies
Yes my wife has this problem and only after i bought one for her only put t on once. Such a shame. She also finds t hard to find bathing costumes although some sell long bodied versions
I’m a lingerie-wearing man and finding a good, taller fit can be a nightmare. Never tried a basque as I just know I’ll never find one to fit even remotely close. But……
A cami-suspender or chemise is a good alternative and, in my experience, a little more forgiving in terms of fit…
Toying with the idea of getting this….

And I’ve already got this, which looks really good, even on a man. I have to have the suspenders fully extended but that aside it seems a pretty good fit and I’m over 6’

Exactly @steve19 the same thing, womens clothes in general still tend to focus on one size. I have a friend who is 4’11 we are both 16-18 but the physical size between us is so different. Even plus size brands are based on someone 5’5. I find they have space where you dont need them but not enough where you do.
Worth mentioning that getting the right size stockings to go with a basque, chemise or other full body garment is important. I’ve found a really good fit in a particle brand (not LH….sorry!) which are quite long so when worn with something like my cami-suspender/chemise above, they don’t pull the body down.
My wife is 5’11 Size 18 with 38DD and does find similar long body issues in all her clothing, although we’ve been lucky enough to test quite a few of LH’s lingerie and have found a good few that fit perfectly, and others that are short in the body.
Like a lot of the the major clothing brands it does seem to be a bit of lottery - and even the same size with the same brand has differences between clothes.
We’ve mainy found that babydolls and chemises seem to be ok, a lot of the basque sets with underwear/suspenders can have the top half fitting fine, and the bottoms not, or vice versa.
As her husband - I think should looks amazing in any of them anyway…and im sure you’re hubby would say the same too - but I know you’d want it to fit right.
I’d recommend maybe giving your size details to @Lovehoney_Brenna (they used to ask for these if you want to test lingerie - not sure if that’s still the case) and you might be lucky enough to be picked to test some out.
But failing that, read the reviews of the items if they have any - often people provide details of thier size when wearing so that can help too.
Also following this.
My mrs is tall ao bodysuits are just a no go for her
I am 6ft tall and have 32” inside leg…I have a long torso which means only bikinis and not costumes…I tend to wear dresses as jeans although the leg length is easy my long bottom means they don’t sit right…
I tend to buy bras…pants and the suspender belt as they obviously look better than cami sets or basques which totally sit in the wrong place…
The Lovehoney brand bodystockings are a great fit and look fabulous…highly recommend those. I have loads…I have tried the other brands from lovehoney but they haven’t fitted as well.
I will keep an eye on this thread…as I would love something not only in my cup size but that looks great on the taller curvier woman…
There is definitely a market for bodysuits that dont feel like they are pulling on your shoulders or giving you a wedgy. I bought one from a plus size website, spent a lot of money but halfway through the day i felt like taking the scissors to it. All i and i suspect other tall curvy girls want is something that takes in our hieght and not just curves.
Would body suits work for a lingerie-wearing man?
This looks amazing, just not sure if it’s adaptable enough to even slightly fit a man.

That one looks gorgeous. I’ve got lots of bodies/teddies, but only a couple that fit nicely. It’s a bit of a try it and see type of thing. I used to have a beautiful one that was soooo comfortable and sexy but in one of my moments of being ashamed of myself I threw it out along with everything else. I’m still searching for another like that.
IMHO the market is titled to tall slim girls.
Exactly, but even if i lost some weight(happy as i am) I will still have boobs and a larger frame, and my body would still be the same length. A lot of times i find myself going up a size or two, just for more fabric.
Makes you think who designed them in the first place
