There are many on here, both female and male, who enjoy their lingerie and I believe that some have quite large collections. I have often wondered therefore what everyone does with their items when washed.
Do you hang it outside for everyone to see or do you keep it inside to dry? If you do hang it outside, do you quite enjoy exhibiting your lingerie for the neighbours to see, to talk about and speculate on or is it that you just don’t care what they think? Or do you not put it out at all, preferring to keep it completely private?
For me, I like to hang things out, to give it a nice airing as they say, but try to hide it behind other clothes where possible. There is a bit of me though that does find it a little daring to do so. I do wonder what the neighbours would think if they did see something, would they be intrigued or find it amusing?
So are you a bit of a lingerie exhibitionist? If you don’t put it out, would you ever be tempted to do so? What does everyone else do or have any thoughts about this?
Dependant on what I try to be a gent and hide the OHs in the middle of one of them hanger things. Generally most of the year the weather sucks so either goes in the dryer or on a rad. Cleared if we have people coming round
Same here tend to put most on a radiator to dry. Some knickers I can get away with on the washing line or hang it out in the conservatory. If we are having guests or tradesmen round everything is put away. Mind you the washing line cannot be seen by the neighbours anyway but it’s just the thought that on a windy day they may get blown away and I would be too embarrassed to go and retrieve them from a neighbours garden
In the summer it all goes on the line with the rest of the laundry. I’ve never really put any thought into whether the neighbours have an opinion or not, I just like the feeling of line dried clothing!
I hang my skimpy underwear on the clothes line . I try to hide them a little bit in between rows of shirts and pants though they still can be seen by my neighbors on one side.
I have had one moment when hanging them at my previous home where I was hanging laundry and the neighbor lady walked over to point something out and caught me hanging my jockstrap on the line. I had some bikinis and thongs swaying in the breeze at the same time. She had a big smile and I completely turned red!
Good question. Our individual answers will depend on the confidence & openness of our journeys into ‘underdressing’ and the acceptance of this by our OH’s, if they exist.
For me, my story is that I’ve had to be quite strategic in my underdressing as my OH hasn’t been a great fan so I’ve had to do my ‘smalls’ laundry & drying when she has been out.
But about 6 months ago I decided to include my girly plain undies into the weekly laundry. Once washed my OH pegged these out along with all other laundry items without any comment. She then folded and put them back in my undies drawer. I took this as a semi- acceptance of my underdressing journey, to a point. These pants were quite plain in there design without any lace or bows so if anyone saw these on the line they probably wouldn’t take any notice.
Next on my journey would be to start openly wearing my lacey girly knicks and then include these into the laundry and then pegged out onto the line for all to see, as my OH only wears white underwear it would be obvious to family & friends that other undies were on display, but let’s hope they don’t mention it as looking at other people’s laundry and commenting would be a bit weird.
I like the attitude @wildflower , being bold in displaying your exotic lingerie and not being worried about what anyone thinks. Maybe that is why you call yourself wildflower!
I sometimes think that it would be good not to be so concerned about trying to hide things although, being a male, I feel less confident about it. However some items are difficult to hide so who knows what has been seen ………?
I hang lingerie on the line without any consideration of what the neighbour might think. I can’t see any reason for anyone to think anything negative. Nice lingerie is fun and sexy.
We always hang it out to dry.Due to the size difference between my wife and I it is obvious it is for two different people.Not many can see our garden but i dont bother even when people visit.I dont think anyone has either noticed or mentioned anything except for one friend and i told him the bigger stuff was mine and i find lingerie both more comfortable and exciting to wear.I am pretty sure he wears frillies too especially as he was the one who noticed.
It all goes on the line outside. The neighbours can infer what they want from what they see! Although apparently it’s now winter and it rains every time I put any laundry out…
