My female partner and I regularly indulge in PIA. This is relatively recent (last six months or so) activity. We are careful, ie slow, use lube, get warmed up and are careful about x contamination. There is never pain, perhaps occasionally mild discomfort.
I know that there has been is very little research about any negative long term effects of anal sex. My view is that if done carefully there will be no damage to the muscles or soft tissues, so there should be no long term negative side effects. I am ignoring the higher risk of STDs because we are monogamous and that’s a different issue.
My question to those on the forum who partake very regularly in PIA (or penis sized objects). Have you had any long term issues? I am in interested particularly those who indulge daily/weekly as I am sure the occasional session if done carefully will not do anyone any harm.
I do think (anecdotally) there are actually some physical benefits (putting pleasure aside). My partner used to get fissures which have not reoccurred. I understand the underlying cause is over tight muscles and I can see how gentle stretching with lube might allow the affected area to become more supple and less prone to tearing. But as I said that’s very much our own experience and it’s only been six months.
I have been a regular anal woman for over 30 years and never had any problems- my husband has been enjoying anal play himself either pegging or prostate massage over 5 years and again no issues …
just remember lube and do not rush or force as you could cause tears and keep clean
The only issue I’ve heard of is prolapsing but that’s mostly due to extreme stretching so normal anal sex is not an issue especially if you consider the size of some things that come out instead of in.
Glad it’s helped with the fissures, it’s not something you see on the treatment page of the NHS
Almost everyday. That’s impressive and interesting. I understand everyone has different levels of sex drive but for myself I can’t imaging doing some sort of sexual activity every day with a partner or even solo.
If I may ask, do you have an orgasm from it most of the time? Does your partner usually orgasm from it? Please do not take this as judgmental in any way, just interesting to me.
These days yes, purely from the anal. When we first started, I was giving my ass to him because I knew he wanted it. He was experienced and gentle and I was inexperienced at anal, but soon became hooked. But it took me a while to cum only from the anal. He sort of trained me really, and then practised!
Always. He gets so excited, even after every day, that he always cums in my ass.
No worries. If you can’t ask a question here, where can you?
I sort of understand male anal and orgasm from the prostate but is a female anal orgasm similar to either a clit or a vagina orgasm or is it something different?
I’ve only had PIA sex a couple of times with women before I met my wife and I don’t really recall if they orgasmed or not. They did seem to enjoy it but that was decades ago. For me it too was OK but I would rather do PIV or PIM. My wife is not interested and that’s OK with me. She lets me lick her asshole which I love doing.
I’ve had some pretty big side effects from anal to be honest and I think it needs to be talked about more. I’ve experienced the following:
Stronger orgasms
Increase in self confidence
Better understanding of my body and how to listen to it
An impressive collection of toys (with flared base)
In all seriousness no, there’s no long term negative effects if you’re doing it safely and your body will tell you if you’re not so try to avoid numbing lubes
Your butt and vagina are full of muscles which will retract and unless you are inserting absolutely mammoth size objects, everything will go back to original sizes.
you can experience a prolapse if your muscles get weak, but your muscles have a memory and with long term experiences you will just relax and be more comfortable during
It is different, but similar. It is mind-blowing. Remember the clit is far more than just the bit you can see, and as well as stimulating that through the interconnecting muscles etc, there is stimulating the A-spot to consider. All in all, there is much to stimulate.
No, no long term effects for me from PIA. We use plenty of lube and start slow to avoid any initial tearage and due to mass lube and a “plunger” effect, poopage can be a bit irregular the next day. That’s it as far as I’m concerned.
It has the advantage over PIV in that, once warmed up, then hard, deep and fast is great. PIV, my cervix doesn’t appreciate it!
The only long term effects I can think of would be STDs, which we’re not discussing now… or as @Long-John-Silver mentioned, not PIA, but for those who extreme stretch with very large toys and go bigger and bigger anal prolapse is a very real risk. This is not going to occur with a regular (or large) penis though.
I know what you mean. Something that happened to me with my first boyfriend over 40 yeas ago that i mentioned briefly in other posts. He wanted anal, i didnt, and i didnt get the choice. Was left with a scar on my butt hole which goes inside about an inch or so. Have a bit of a weakness there now and it bleeds sometimes if i get constipated.
I do prostate play and anal leakage is a problem. The sphincter id pretty loose. I think because I add so much lube its probably just the lube coming out after play.
I suspect its lube coming out because I used water based lube and the leakage is sticky and itchy which is what water based lube does after a while.
Also wet farts. it just sounds like a funny sounding fart to most people, but those in the know, know. My farts have a wet sound to it because ass has lube in it. Wife notice how it sounds different, i just always excuse it as bad diet.
Samantha here. This a good topic. We have anal sex once or twice a week. The only effects iv noticed have been positive.
This is tmi so apologies. Iv suffered with ibs since the birth of my 1st child meaning when I use the loo, there’s nothing solid. So very little had even exited my butt in years. On the odd occasional it was solid, it hurt quite abit.
Getting into anal sex was something I had always wanted to try but been too scared to. I felt that it was too tight and nothing would fit. Plus all the potential mess.
My 1st experience was with a one night stand who had the smallest penis iv seen so I let him in my butt. It still hurt but was ok.
Then I met ben who was very experienced in anal but has a much larger penis. We practiced for over a year before I could comfortably take him all the way inside. Lots and lots of lube and lots of prep work with butt plugs and my dildo in the shower.
Moving on a couple years and iv managed to control my ibs with diet and my life is much less stressful and my toilet habits are much nearer normal.
Anal sex is amazing and gives me sooo many orgasms on its own without any other stimulation. Just takes patience and practice with an understanding partner.
Oddly I have experience this as well. since anal play my IBS has gone. tmi warning I used to have to run to the toilet every morning to have a pretty explosive bowel movements for the longest time ever. It was like an alarm clock for me, every morning about 30 minutes before my alarm clock is set to go off, my bowels would wake me and get me running to the toilet.
While not anal sex with a partner, anal masturbation has become a regular part of my solo play routine. I have several toys of different sizes for putting in my bum.
For me, it took a few years to rewire my brain to associate anal with pleasure. At first I had mixed results however now I can regularly enjoy amazing pleasure and stronger orgasms from anal play.
I have had minimal ill effects. Just have to use lots of lube and not be overly rough when playing. Poop can be an issue now and again, however I sometimes will douche beforehand or just have wipes at the ready.
I suffer from IBD and can also vouch for anal being a way to firm things up.
Again sorry if TMI.. But I use a buttplug every other day for a few hrs as it seems to help firm things up so things become normal.. Anal sex also helps as longs as im not in a flair.
It does sound like more research needs to be done on the positive physical benefits of anal sex for both IBS and fissures.
I think the ‘looser’ feel that some have described is probably more down to being able to relax the muscles more quickly and with more control than any perceived muscle weakness.
Looks like the consensus is that there are no long term negative side effects when being careful. Clearly there is increased risk of tissue damage with stretching or lack of preparation or lube but that’s to be expected.
I’d have to say it is worlds apart… An anal orgasm is way more intense, it causes my whole core/diaphragm to pluse and even reverberates into a g spot orgasm most times… Also… Anyone else cum anally?
