Personally I'd say the best toy to start with is a bullet. Most women need a bit of clitoral stimulation to orgasm, and a bullet is a nice way of providing that without getting in the way during sex (so good for couples). They're small, and can be very powerful. They're also quite precise, which some people prefer (the opposite being broad, which would be something like a wand).
What toy to buy depends on a lot of different factors (budget is a big one), and as every body is different everyone can't like everything equally so you will have to experiment a bit. But everyone here is very friendly and helpful, so if you have any questions at all don't hesitate to ask. 🙂👍

It's not something I have firsthand knowledge of , but the main advice for bum fun seems to be, start slow and small (ish), and build up gradually. And don't scrimp on the lube. 🙂

I just started trying anal play as well, and would recommend trying something silicone first (my first was glass and found it way too intense for my first anal toy) and checking the sizes in the product pages. Even in the beginners anal toy section, some of the butt plugs are still too large for me to even consider trying yet.

Just to add to these really helpful suggestions, when we started playing with anal we had a similar situation (eyes bigger than other areas!) We found a butt plug set was the way to go, as you can train yourself to take larger/girthier sized toys / understand limits. They are also usually better value and help you decide what you like before you upgrade to pricier models.
