Hi Brenna,
I wrote my review of a tester product this morning and when I clicked on the ‘publish review’ button something glitched and instead of acknowledging the review it added the item to my basket and my review disappeared.
Can it be retrieved or do I have to write it again?
Have you tried your internet history? Has it saved there and could you publish it again?
My other advice would be to write the main body of your review in another programme (I use Google Docs) and then copy it in, along with your ratings, username etc. That way, you won’t have so much to type if something does go kaput.
I hope that helps, and I hope you’re able to recover your review
What item did you review @rockstar
Hi @rockstar , Brenna doesn’t see everything on the forum so it’s best to tag her if it’s important. Obviously, she won’t see this now until she’s back in the office again but here you go… alert, alert @Lovehoney_Brenna
Also, anything tester related you can email her directly at community@lovehoneygroup.com
Emails generally get checked before the forum (I think).
My experience is that your local cookies don’t usually log entries into a text box in any meaningfully recoverable way.
I had the same issue one too many times a couple years ago and started writing the narrative portion of my reviews in a Google doc and copy-pasting into the Web box when I’m ready. I find it’s much easier to edit/rearrange my thoughts this way, but also might contribute to my long-winded reviews, too. Just easier to go on and on a bit more than intended in a doc vs a text box.
I think some do but not all. Much depends on privacy settings, web browser etc.
I completely agree, it’s also why it takes me a week to write a blog post. As a reputable chatterbox, by giving myself the extra time, I can go back and tidy up the bits where I went off on a tangent!
This has happened to me. Its not a glitch. The add to basket button ends up conveniently placed where the submit button should be. You will have to write it again. I emailed Brenna thinking i had submitted and went through troubleshooting. I realised about a week later what had happened. Went to do another review and did the aame again!!
So I rewrote the review and I received an email asking me to confirm my email by clicking on the button.
I’ve tried a number of time now on different devices and each time it takes me to this address.
This website fails to load up and always gives me a 504 Gateway Timeout error.
I have also checked on the product page and my review has not been posted.
@rockstar Are you sure it was a email from Lovehoney?
We’ve got your review, it’ll be awaiting moderation (which can take up to 72 hours) - hopefully it will be published soon
Lovely. Thank you.
