Hi Bonny - I have just read your comments above about mentioning what has inspired the design. I have uploaded my designs now, but was not aware of this and therefore have not included that information. Should I have done this as I am a bit concerned now - would you like me to upload an extra paragraph somewhere or e-mail you with this information? xx

It's not a must but it is a nice addition if you've got that information. You could send an email to the customer care team with your name and details of your submission so that they can add it to it. When judging I will not be aware of who the entries are from therefore you can not forward anything direct to me via email.

Little confused about what exactly the form is asking for where it says "Briefly, what is it designed to do?" then goes on to say "Describe your toy in more detail"

is it looking for something similar to what you find on the product pages or more like specifications for it's design or what.

what sort of word count?

example below.... as few or as many words that are needed to get across your design and to prove it is new and unique...

What is it designed to do - 'offer dual stimulation to the nose and the ears at the same time'

Describe your toy in more detail - 'my design is uniuqe and i've never seen anything like it. You put the harness over the head and you fit the clip over the end of the nose and over both ears. You can adjust the strap on the back using the buckle too. So it's one size fits all (easier to sell!). The material is soft, subtle and comfortable against the face something like leather but man made so it's vegan friendly : ). It's got 4 speeds and flashes in 4 colours in time to the music.....

Tears up design for a nose and ear dual stimulator

Im very envious of the judges, Id pay to look through all the designs people have sent in! It would be fascinating.

Well that's my entries in each catergory submitted. They are probably some of the most stupidest and unmakable things ever submitted in this competiton and the drawings i sent look like an angry childs doodles. If nothing else it'll give the judges a good laugh. Fingers and nuts crossed in the mean time haha. Goood luck to everyone entering.

Does this mean we can submit multiple ideas if they are of different catergories?

Ok, I have mine almost completed, but wondered, can I refer you to a clip or link which describes the tech too or shows it in motion? I know I can reference it easily and you'll probably get a good idea, but also providing a link could save you some time too =)

I think I read on the rules that it is one entry per catergory per person, double check though. Good luck!.

So a design for couples, a male design, and a female design?

If so, awesome. I have so many ideas ^_^

Yep, see below...

"To enter, send us details of your design with notes and sketches or models as set out in the entry form. One entry per category per person. Only original designs are eligible for entry and none of your designs may be copied (wholly or partly) from anyone else's work."

Hi Bonny - I have just re-read your post to me and am now a little bit worried...

On the actual document that I uploaded with my designs, I put my name at the bottom - I was a bit worried that they may get separated from my upload details! I saw that you said you 'would not be aware of who the entries are from' - should I re-send these upload pictures without my name on - or will someone block my name out before they are shown to you? - Sorry to be a pain - but I really want to get it right - lol :) xx

I have an idea for a sex toy, I might just enter! I saw another sex toy site doing something similar to this though it just goes to a blank page when clicked on, and saw the AS programme where the people designed new toys. there can't be anything left new to design by now?

Thanks Bonny - I have also e-mailed over the additional 'notes' about what inspired me to come up with my designs to help@lovehoney.co.uk and they said they have forwarded them on :) xx

Design a Sex Toy is now closed!

Thank you to everyone who took the time to enter. We've had hundreds of submissions, so now comes the part where we ask for your patience as we wade through them all.

It's hugely exciting to read all your ideas and I'm really looking forward to reading them!

Well that's just annoying - divine intervention stuck me just as the competition closed how annoying is that!
