Lube Types

So recently I've been thinking of investing in some lube to add some extra pleasure to my life but given the wide range that's out there I don't know where to start. I don't want to get the cheapest one just in case it's not really that good but the flip side is that I don't want to buy one of the most expensive ones just because of the idea of the better the value, the better the quality

Any recommendations? :)

People are crazy about sliquid. They're good quality but a bit expensive. I bought the water based version because everybody where talking about it.
For silicone lube, (not compatible with sex toys but great for sex and massages) I like the pkur woman body glide

Was* sorry for the double typo

We have used this...

...for years. We love it, its such a one for all. We aren't big spenders, so even this seemed a little pricey but it lasts forever.

Then I saw this...

...and we love it even more! We only use it for oral though. Its soooooo delicious!

I've had a look at the Lubido water-based lubricant on here which doesn't seem that expensive. That's a water-based one isn't it? I've seen some good reviews on that

Silicone lube? I don't think I've seen that one before, but that wouldn't be good for me because you've said that that it isn't good for sex toys. Damn

Isn't the Durex play lube not compatible with condoms? I ask this as I'm curious because I'm single. Does the taste make it more sexual?

We love the tracy cos edge lube, but it's being DCd so I might just have to buy the rest....!

Have to say I thought that Durex lube was awful. Personally I like the lovehoney own brand lubes :)

I haven't had good experiences with Durex at all. I would recommend Lovehoney's Enjoy Lubricant or Sliquid H20.

We really like Lubido, also we would never buy a Durex lube again as both we tried did not suit us at all.

Yes all thge durex play lubes are ok with condoms. Used the Aloe Vera one with a couple of partners and wearing a condom and it certainly made things smoother. Don't know about the taste tho cos only used it for vaginal sex, not oral.

Start with lubes that do NOT contain glycerin (it's said that it can contribute to thrush). And while you are studying the list of ingredients (never buy anything that does not publish them) you could also avoid parabens, just in case. Vaginally a little lube goes a long way I have found, so the price is not really all that much of an issue. I use Sliquid (the price was good when I bought the big bottle last summer in some offer), but I'm sure there's other brands that are just as good.

For anal play with sex toys I personally prefer vaseline because it doesn't dry up unlike waterbased lube. Vaseline, being oil-based, does weaken latex condoms, though, so you mustn't use it when condom integrity is important. (I use it with condoms over sex toys, I've only ever had one split and that was when pulling the condom off the pointy t-bar of the Butt Tingler plug - no problem).

oh wow! I didn't expect this many responses! Thanks guys, I'll keep it in mind <3
