Lubes that "leak"?

Sorry if this is too much information but do you find some lubes "leak" more than others?

(Of couse by "leak" I don't mean from the bottle, but from you.)

I've used several lubes so far and usually they will only leak on the first couple of uses but then I'll have no issues with them.

I've been using this Durex one for a while and I always leak quite a bit with it:

I was wondering if this was because this lube is more designed for oral sex but it does say you can use if for vaginal and anal sex, too. I have used other flavoured lubes and they didn't leak like this one. It's not a big issue but it is a little annoying when I put clean underwear on in the morning and then they are soaked as soon as I start moving around. It's hard to tell the difference between the lube shifting from the night before to a period so at first I was like "Oh no!" until I knew what it was.

Is there a reason as to why some lubes leak and others don't?

Generally water based lubes will absorb into the skin. It could be that your skin is not absorbing this lube very well. This could be due to you being well hydrated and or maybe there is something in the chemical formula that stops it being absorbed easily. The position you are sleeping in will also be a factor when it comes to the lube all leaking out (the lube may leak out in the night and as you are asleep you don’t notice but if you sleep in a position where the lube doesn’t run easily, it will wait until you are upright and then all leak at once).

I would recommend that after sex/play, going to the toilet. That way you can clean up any excess lube (and it helps prevents UTIs)

Thanks so much for your response. Yes, I think it could be the formula. It seems to feel a lot stickier and more like syrup than my other water-based lubes.
