I'm going to buy the lovehoney magic wand for my wand as she needs a LOT of clitoral stimulation to achieve orgasm. This question mind sound ridiculous but given the strength of the vibrations, is it possible to desensitize a womans clit from over use. The thought occurred to me whilst reading all the reviews.
It actually sounds daft as im typing this but I would be interested to hear your thoughts.

I think it would be more likely to become over sensitised,which then can lead to discomfort.I expericene this often with my SO.He is a wonderfully enthusiatic player,sucker,licker,toy user of my clit but there are times I know I am not going to be able to come and his continued stimulation just gets way to much and I need to indicate I have had enough.

Yes it is possible in much the same way a man may get used to a quick, firm wank as a teen and then find it harder to reach orgasm later with a slower gentler sensation. It is possible for a woman to get 'too used' to needing intense, or one kind of stimulation. As long as you do not get lazy and use the wand every single time for months, years etc it should be ok though. As long as you mix it up and she learns diferent ways to orgasm too (Fingers, tongue, sex, rubbing against something...etc) So not desensitised as such, its more that you could train her into cumming through one kind of stim thereby making it harder to cum in other ways eventually.

I find with the wand, I don't even move it - it just sort of lies below my clit - the power is turned up quite high but that's because then it doesn't vibrate as much in my hand which is nicer.
I find as well, that with using the wand it doesn't take me long to come at all and because it doesn't make me sensitive and it's a different sort of feeling, hubby can still play with me after and I can come again.

I think you will be fine as you vary the speed you use it at......my wife complained of numbness after a session with it but I did have it on full for a little too long. The fantastic thing about them is how well and quickly you can control the vibrations............she loves it :-)
