Making a vibrator less powerful

Some time ago we bought the thrill seeker and it brought us a lot of pleasure with foreplay and sex but once I replaced the batteries it became much stronger. I tried a cheep brand of batteries but those were string too. We ended up resorting to trying to find nearly empty batteries to match with full ones however that is not a great solution as its really not very sexy to have to look for them during foreplay.

We also got a bullet vibrator from lovehoney that is also a bit strong for her. Does anyone have any tricks to weaken a vibrator?

Thanks in advance

You could try using it over a pair of knickers or through the bedding maybe?

I usually have to just hold it and touch her with my hand so the egg doesn’t even come into contact with her but that doesn’t really work well during sex

How about cock rings to reduce the surface contact area?

or a sleeve?

The softer the material the more likely it is to absorb some of the vibrations - at least that’s the theory

Some rechargeable batteries have a lower voltage, like 1.2v instead of 1.5, so they may give less power.
Might be worth a try?

As @glitterismyfavouritecolour and @rhyming_geek have suggested, using something to muffle the vibrations may help, whether that be underwear, some sort of sleeve or even something like a condom (obviously go for a thicker one). Lube can often help as well.

Otherwise, consider where you are placing the toys. Instead of placing them directly on the clitoris, placing it on the mons pubis or the outer labia lips. Or just try experimenting around her vulva.

Or try to put as much surface area of the toy against her as possible, so the vibration spreads out a little more and won’t feel so concentrated in one place.

If none of these things work, it may be that the toys you have aren’t right for her. It could be that she needs something with a lower frequency of vibration or a bigger surface area of toy or a different sensation (be it something like suction/air pulse or a moving part like the Lelo Ora).

There’s also the squishy Tracey Cox range that have liquid silicone heads for a softer feel:

We’ve got the wand version, and it’s more muffled/diffuse compared with regular silicone. It may be a bit more than you want to spend on a ‘maybe’, but Lovehoney have the Sex Toy Happiness Promise if you try it out and don’t get on with it (the info is about halfway down that page). Short version, you have 60 days to try a toy out, and if it’s not for you you can return it for a refund. :+1:
