Hi,

My partner and I are off to the Maldives in October, and are after a bit of advice.

We know sex toys are prohibited, does anyone know if lube is classed as a sex toy?

Has anyone taken lube to a country where sex toys are banned?

We’re thinking of getting a clear travel bottle and transfer the lube into that. It’ll go in our toiletries bag in the hold luggage. The Mrs loves her strawberry handwash :wink: and so wants to take it.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, we would like to come home after the hols, and not be locked up lol.

I don’t actually know but I would not class lube as a sex toy. The Maldives sounds lovely and I hope you have a great time and lots of fun. @showady

Wow, they have really strict laws. Condoms are legal, so lube may also be. Id definitely err on the side of decanting it though.

If you have any naughty pics on your phone you might want to make sure to take them off too before you go. They are really strict about porn by the sounds of it

The durex pump bottles which we use, you can remove the label so it is just looks like a bottle of lube.

Wouldn’t sweat it, we are all allowed moisturiser :slight_smile:

All else fails, claim its shaving gel. The difference is pretty minimal to be honest

As a shaver I would disagree :slight_smile:

The 1st time I went to Libya I worried if they would allow my mouth wash in because of the alcohol content.

Think, generally, as long as you are respectful of their laws and polite there is no issue (but taking in anything that is obviously for penetration and looks like it on an X-ray is a potential issue)

Id just think of somewhere else to visit… cant be doing with nonsensical restrictive laws.

Then don’t go to Dubai where people have been arrested on entry for just having traces of prescription drugs.
Seems to me you just need to respect a country’s law while you are there.

Yes spend ages finding out what obscure do’s and dont’s they have in place, apart from what is illegal in most counties.??

You should be ok with lube and I’d reckon putting it in a clear bottle will just be an extra level of safer :slightly_smiling_face:
