I'm thinking about getting one for my OH. Though i have no idea what one to get. I'll probably sound silly with this question because i don't have a clue about them to be honest. We have it and I prefer using it to the traditional stroker that we have. I find the stroker hard to get on when it, my hubby and my hand are all covered in lube. So this eliminates that problem.
Just be aware that you need to dust this one with corn flower after you've cleaned it to keep it at its best.

Going to jump in as the first to disagree with the Tenga 3D- my partner found it painfully over stimulating. And it's a bit expensive for something he might not like. The tenga eggs are great though!
Since it is his first toy, I would recommend something like the Tracy Cox Supersex clear stroker (I would link but I am on my phone, sorry!). It's stimulating but still gentle enough for first timers, plus it doesn't get sticky so no real complications on storing or looking after it to put him off. It's cheap too! And designed to be couple friendly :)
If you want to go all out and treat him I'd go for a fleshlight! But they are obviously very pricey.

Solo or couple play? Plus how much do you want to pay?
Flashlights and fake pussys are great for solo play, but can be a little intimidating for couples.
General strokers offer more for couple play.
On the cheap end you have lovehoneys strokers (great for the money) and tenga eggs (fell amazing but limited use). Which Tenga 3D did you try specifically? I felt that way about the Spiral one.
Suggestions for the OP, I recommend trying one of the Tenga Cups. It's a single-use disposable product (though with care and gentle cleaning you can get more than one use out of it) and for £10 it's a good way gauge his reaction before splashing out on a Tenga Flip Hole or Fleshlight.
