I read an article regarding the reason each sex participates in masturbation, and it was interesting. The survey said men masturbated as a replacement for sex, because they were not getting enough. And women masturbated because it was in addition to regular sex, a desert so to say.
So what is your reason ?

For me (male), it’s a stop gap if my wife is out of action for more than a few days for any reason. We have similar drives so we are well matched, but sometimes she’s been working a lot (she has a very demanding job), or is ill, or it’s shark time or whatever so a quick wank will scratch the itch for a few days.

Horses for courses, (pun intended) When we are together probably a starter, possibly depending how we finish, it could be a desert. Would never class masturebation as a main course.
Maybe, during the day, a bit of lazy mutual masturebation, could be classed as a light lunch. For us solo masturebating is just a back up to fill gaps.
