First, I don’t know if it’s most, meaning over 50% but I do agree that many young men do like this.
I think there are many reasons for this.
For one thing, this has been more common and “out there” more in the last couple of decades.
Cougars wasn’t a term I was aware of in the 1980’s and 90’s (if it existed, I wasn’t aware of it I mean).
But come the middle of the 2000’s, it was cougar this and cougar that.
So, men who are young now, in the mid 2020’s grew up hearing about cougars, it was a common term, unlike when I was young and growing up.
2nd, this isn’t just for women, but for those who are a bit older, a cougar, they are usually more confident, more experienced, they know what they like and don’t like etc.
I’m almost 60 now and my divorce was finalized at 38 and in the first 3 years after my divorce I ended up being with a good number of cougars and it was wonderful in many ways. I was 38 to 41 and they were in their 50’s and even into their early 60’s, some of them.
They knew what they wanted, what they liked, they were confident, not worried about tiny little imperfections in their bodies. They were into what they and we were doing and they knew what the hell they were doing too.
