I must say I don't like music and sex, really off putting. Being a musician I just go in to critque mode, listening to the lyrics which then totally change the mood if it's nothing to do with sex! On a rare occasion that I allow music in the bedroom, it seems that some heavy metal or something grungy can only work.
The other day on Wikipedia I did discover a genre called Pornogrind, which is music with sexual themes... one pornogrind band is called Meat Sh*ts which made me laugh!
I use the band HIM to get me in the mood, but usually depends on tastes... Ive used placebo, gg allin, cky the rasmus, Metallica, apocolyptica, all the way to classical or new age...
When me and my boyfriend first got together he made me a love CD to play while we made love together, he also got candles and roses, it's the most romantic and lovelies things anyone's ever done for me. :)

I did try once, many years ago when the film "10" came out and Bo Derek and Dudley Moore did it to Ravels' Bolero. Great music, but found myself trying too hard to get our orgasms to coincide with the crescendo at the end of the music and basically just killed the moment.

I don't think Bolero would work. But maybe some Brahms cello concertos.
I’m not sure music is for listening to during sex, at least not in an active listening sense. Back ground noise is a different matter, but is has to be something that can seemingly fade into nothingness. Something like Sigur Ros.
If anything we tend to put the iPod on shuffle and hope for the best.
Although it's never killed the mood, there have been some terrible songs (and some appropriate ones) that come into the mix. A bit of giggles came out when Rammstein - Pussy came on.
W.A.S.P. songs generally caused a laugh to - "Don't Cry (Just Suck)" in the middle of a blowjob is kinda funny
