'mood' music

now ; ive NEVER been one to have mood music for sex before ... ever .. but i have just been listening to sex (im a ) and stroker ace - both by loveage from the HOT album ' music to make love to your old lady by ' ( please ignore the title --- trust --- its HOT ) , an it made me curious , do any of you use music to initiate / help the ' mood' when feeling horny ?

and if you DO - then what is it ??

Tbh I've never used music to intiate the mood or anything, never been really interested in mood music, but I do have to say I do get turned on by "I touch myself- Jack off Jill version" I have no idea why! So the OH knows that when I'm listening to that he's got a sure thing lol.

lol .. so not quite music -- more ' signal' music eh ? hehe . near enough the same thing :)

Lol yeah!

If I have my play list on random and it comes on it's always funny. But then I just kinda turn the music off, I think I just like hearing him.

For me, that is Sade. They were big around the time my generation reached the peak of their promiscuity, so to speak. Started out at dorms, being used by students as a signal for others not to enter, and then this habit got picked up, spread by word of mouth, and all of a sudden the entire generation shagged to the sound and wave of Sade ;) Marriages were built on the foundations of Smooth Operator and especially No Ordinary Love, or Bullet Proof Soul. That was soo universal in so many places, though I'm not sure the band itself is aware of their influence beyond the native shores. This has stayed with me to this day, and I bet hundreds of thousands of others of my age could say the very same. Although now I don't have a sound system anymore, and a boink with headphones on is not my idea of fun. Still, I'm unable to listen without being flooded with images and impressions. "—Put it on." "— What?" "— You know what." That's how it went in the beginning, until words were no longer necessary.

It does seem to me that this is your island's greatest contribution to world peace, as measured by the Bhutanese index of universal happiness. A great export, that, right up there with the steam engine, Joanna Lumley, and Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels ;)

ahhhh sade .. i loooove ' when you're cold ' not as a shag tune - just as a lovely song

I'm sorry to have to say this, but, Lol! Its not one of my favourite songs.. If we are talking music that makes you feel sexy, confident, ready to take on anything, then a song by Roxy Saint from the epic B movie, Zombie Strippers works everytime! Roxy Saint - Kisses (on mobile, so can't link it, but seriously, check it out. It is on you tube. This track makes me want to dress in leather dominate someone!)

lol I like those songs too, Like I said I don't know what it is about the song, I think maybe the beat? It's bizaire I don't usually get a reaction like that to songs, but with that one I just do. lols!

Never yet had sex with music on in the background, I love just hearing the noises we make and just focusing on each other I love that . Making love has its own song (cheesy I know)

lol that IS cheesy but cute :)

I kind of agree, never think music really does it. I do like a nice scented candle though and I know that's a bit cheesy.

see i dont use music wither . not to say that if i got in the mood an music was on , id stop to get up an turn it off .. lol .. but ive never planned to pop on a tarck an get down to it :p

I think you really need something that you can ignore / allow to fade into the background and definitely avoid things that makes you pay attention: One time we were listening to Muse (my wife gets off on Matt Bellamy) she had me on the vinegar strokes and stopped to sing "Super massive Black Hoooooooole" during the chorus of that song.

It was hlarious, but a total mood killer, since then we've made a Jack Johnson playlist....

ahahahah thats brilliant >.<

yes, sometimes... smooth jazz works fine.

Thanks. I was just grateful the roles hadn't been reversed, we would have had an argument about my being insensitive otherwise... :-)

I must say I don't like music and sex, really off putting. Being a musician I just go in to critque mode, listening to the lyrics which then totally change the mood if it's nothing to do with sex! On a rare occasion that I allow music in the bedroom, it seems that some heavy metal or something grungy can only work.

The other day on Wikipedia I did discover a genre called Pornogrind, which is music with sexual themes... one pornogrind band is called Meat Sh*ts which made me laugh!

I love having music on whilst I'm masturbating and during sex. It's so sexy, you change how you move and how you fuck to the beat. I have a playlist.

My favourite at the moment is Back to Black- Andre 3000 and Beyonce.

It just makes me want to strip ;)
