Before I begin, I'll explain what MRKH means. MRKH is a genetic condition that affects about 1 in 5,000 females. It causes little to no reproductive organs to develop, and means penetrative sex and preganancy is impossible. (This website goes into more detail: https://ghr.nlm.nih.gov/condition/mayer-rokitansky-kuster-hauser-syndrome )
I've recently been diagnosed with this, and I'd like some advice on sex and some supportive words, and if this gets popular, advice and support for anyone with MRKH. I'd prefer advice beyond 'just do anal play' as I'm sure there are many other options, and advice for solo play is preferred. (I'm in a ldr, so it's my only option)
I hope this becomes relatively popular so anyone with MRKH can seek some support.
I had never heard of MRKH so have just quickly looked it up. Sorry to ask a personal question but on a website it mentions using vaginal dilators to eventually enable sex, is this an option that you are currently looking into. Feel free to tell me to mind my own business.
A lot of women don't achieve orgasm through penetration sex so have you considered looking at toys that focus on clitoral stimulation. Love Honey have a good choice of toys exactly for this.
I'm sorry to hear about your recent diagnosis, but I am glad you have decided to speak out as I'm sure it will be helpful to people in similar positions. I'm sure we will be able to help you find ways in which you can still experience pleasure :)
Am I correct in my understanding that this condition doesn't affect the external genitalia? If so, there are clitoral/labia/vulva play options that we can look at here. There's also nipple play, if that's something that you might be interested in. Some people can orgasm through this type of play - depending on their sensitivity and the act/toy.

I've too heard of vaginal dilators, but it's not an idea I'm particulary fond about either. My SO is trans so while they're male, they have no penis so I don't see any need for a 'full-size' (for lack of a better word) vagina.

External genitalia is completely the same to anyone else and develops normally, its only the vagina and utereus that are affected.
Knowing a little about your condition I'm going to assume your vulva and clitoris are fully functional.
My personal recommendation is start with a bullet clit vibe but its my opinion that a major wand eventually will help you find the right depth and speed of vibration for you to explore your sexuality and enjoy sexual stimulation.
Also I'm unsure as too how much natural lubrication you are able to produce, so I'd also recommended that you look at some lubes to help the vibrations to your body from your toy smoothly.
I apologise if I'm not sympathetic enough but I sense your not seeking it. You are who you are and we here at loveyhoney forum don't judge. We all simply want everyone no matter your sexuality to enjoy as much as they can sex. Its my hope that over the next few days some of the wonderful women here will be able to guide and advice you even more.
Welcome once more .
These are the products you might like to take a look at. The lube is sliquid , they do others in their range but the silver feels warm and close to natural lube . it does not dry out either but some people don't like the idea of using silicone.

Thank you for the warm welcome! I'm hoping some other users with MRKH will find this thread, and they too can find recommendations and help without judgement for their condition; something I'm glad to see here.
I'll be sure to check out some other clitoral vibes and lubes.
Hello there! I would also recommend trying a clitoral vibrator :) My advice would be to go for something rechargeable because that means you don't have to fuss around with batteries :)

Hi Rosalind! Believe it or not, I just learnt about MRKH today, and this is from a more medical POV. I support your stand on not just going for anal. The ObGyn recommended dilators for this - it helps to "stretch" out existing vaginal tissue, and patients can create a canal for PIV intercourse. There is a high success rate with this, although success is still variable. It's a good place to start, along with clitoral stimulation.
Also since you have just been diagnosed, I assume you have access to an ObGyn. Please please please use this resource: speak to them about your concerns. If they've not dealt with this before (because of how rare it is), then have them refer you on to someone with experience in this (they exist). There are nurses and doctors out there who can and want to help patients with these problems - even coaching you with dilators. You mentioned being able to access help without judgement in one of your replies: I want to assure you that you should not find judgement among the people who are meant (and paid) to help. If they are, then they are at fault.
This might also be a good site to read if you have not already http://www.mrkh.org.uk/mrkh.html
I do hope you are able to access the help that's there for you, and that you find some resolution to this! And if you do, I'd love to hear about it :)
Hi Rosaland, Im a great believer in practical suggestions, but please ignore my ignorance, until now I had never heard of this problem. (I bet you get that a lot).
Ok so clitoral stimulation should work fine, so any vibrator could do the trick from that perspective. Magic wands are very popular but they are very powerful so I would suggest something Rechargable, waterproof and less powerful to start with. I'm a big fan of the lelo nea2. It's small and could be used up inside your underwear if you wanted.
I might have misunderstood, and if I have got this wrong I apologise, but what about a vibrating love egg? Like the fifty shades of grey one. It does require a small amount of insertion but not too much, so that might work for you. Also the remote could be given to your partner so that your partner controls your fun.
My third and final suggestion is sensory play. With a simple blindfold (improvised by scalf, or tie if you don't have an actual blindfold) then tease caress and stimulate your partner (or your partner you) with different items. Ice or cold glass, feathers, a belt or wooden spoon. Being blindfolded heightenes the other senses, and you might find this a real turn on. Sex and pleasure doesn't have to be all about penetration it's just a matter of finding what works for you.
I hope these suggestions are at least worth thinking about.
I have spent the last hour researching it and this is the best resource of all including the site you gave because it all spelled out on the page without a 100 links.
It says "for parents" but the information is extremely informative and comprehensive and every option is explained in detail from all of the surgery options to the dilation procedures.
From every thing that I have been reading, these solutions are VERY successful.
I know I would be trying the dilations for sure first. And I would be using a clit vibrator at the same time to make it fun, so I would be looking forward to the stretching exercises
I wish you all the best Rosalind and if you read that information, you can see there is a LOT to be positive and optimistic about

Welcome wonderful place here for advice ect, would a bullet or wand help for orgasms, there are less powerful ones to start with.
Of what little i do know, i do know should someone with the condition ever want to engage in penetrative sex dialators have to be used in order to 'create' a vagina and they have to be used on a daily basis in order to maintain size and prevent it 'shrinking'. as long as all the external parts work fine something like a bullet should be able to give you loads of pleasure
