I have muted a few people as I find their posts ridiculous. However I cannot find a way to do so with a user who has chosen to hide their profile as that option can’t be reached.
Does anyone know a solution to this please ?

I don’t think you can although I may be wrong. Maybe just scroll past the one’s you find ridiculous when they pop up. There’s a few I do that with!
You can do it from your preferences page on the users tab: https://lovehoneyforum.com/my/preferences/users
You can manually add users to either Ignore or Mute from there.
Who said that…… ?
No seriously, thanks a bunch Ian, it took me about ten seconds from your link to add them to my increasing list of miscreants !
It’s not entirely clear (sometimes I have to go digging to remember how to do it too) but @Ian_Chimp 's advice is exactly right. I’m glad you’ve sorted it now though and hopefully you can enjoy the forum clutter-free ![]()
Yes thank you Ten S, one more fantasist that I won’t miss.
I have no objection to someone writing erotic fiction, it can be fun. But not those who pretend it is their experiences and posting it on here, as some less frequent readers might not realise.
It’s truly mind-bending when that happens. Happened to me once: a reader was reading me and then parroting my life back in her own words, almost was though she was in my shoes. I thought it was weird how similar we were, or that my experiences couldn’t be that unusual, then I realised. She was volatile when I called her out and kept arguing with everything I said.
Part of the blue rinse brigade. Sometimes you just gotta let crazy be crazy ![]()
It’s absolutely the sex-worlds version of “and then everybody clapped”. It amazes me someone goes to great lengths to write something truly batshit, proof-reads it the thinks “Yep! That’s believable and exactly what people will want to read”. Even more amazing is people that take it at face value.
So what happens when you mute someone, do you just not see their posts? There are a few i could do that too as they just make me angry and if its all a load of twaddle i would rather not know.
Muting a user will suppress any notifications from their posts or other interactions (Likes/Reactions, for instance), and Ignoring them will go one step further and hide their posts from your view (though you can click on the ‘hidden reply’ to unhide them individually). For topics they create, you’ll still see them in the topic lists but the actual content will show as ‘ignored content’ rather than the actual text.
Ignore is available when you get to TL2.
My trust level just says regular but i have posted photos so am not sure.
‘Regular’ is TL3 (
), so you should be able to choose both Mute or Ignore from a person’s profile page (if it’s public) and also from your own preferences too : https://lovehoneyforum.com/my/preferences/users
There’s a bit more info about Trust Levels in Trust Levels
Frankly adding a small number of users to my ignorenlist really has improved my experience here.
I dont mind the fiction from a number of users so much, but some where just writing such inbred drivel, or generally too aggressive. Muting seems pointless to me. If these people get on your nerves, simply ignore them.
I actually used the wrong term in the title, as I had actually previously set people to ignore and not mute.
The latest one I added was someone who originally seeked advice for something they found troubled them, and now has descended into describing utterly ridiculous scenarios that are obviously fictitious.
Also it being a solid wall of text, no punctuation or capitals, just emphasises that is nonsense to me.
This is news to me, I hadn’t realised we could mute users!! Quite a handy tool to have.
I knew this post wouldn’t take long to come in handy. There’s some wonderful people posting on here and it’s largely a really lovely environment. There’s also some really really odd people definitely living in a fantasy world…
I might have to try this ![]()
There is a few people who do nothing but reply to females in a certain few topics and use it as a glorified way to either get turned on or while being horny, are alone and in relationships or simply to chat to just females like its a dating app.
Sad to hear that about some users![]()
That’s just my opinion of course.
@Stacy2 By any chance is this in the lingerie appreciation thread? or is it in all parts of the forum.
