Hi CB man - have also been using a CB3000 for extended periods of time, I find the cell mates cleaning kit from Tickelberry (wish LH would stock this, bet they'd sell it for over half the price!) very useful indeed. It negates the need for having to have the cage removed every couple of days for cleaning as it allows you to clean up with it still on. Hi CB. The cellmates sticks wash up perfectly well. They are like cotton buds but the have little sponges on the end. so they don't fall apart - just use with normal shower gel and rinse using the shower head (make sure you dry your member properly after and re lube!). I've been using then for about 6 months and have only needed to one set of the sticks, still got 5 i haven't touched so they last ages!. ( i didn't bother with the wipes or lub refills, as I can get much cheaper lube of LH and much cheaper wipes from superdrug!)
Just a thought i've had and am going to try based on what people ahve said in another thread about oils - baby oil might be a good bet for lubing the inside of the cage whilst on. I only use anti-bac cleaners on the device its self when I'm unlocked as I figure its nice to get it as clean as possible before it goes back on. As for a moisturiser - I thknk i'll stick with my E45 - it seems to do the job so far!
Please, if you give any credence to my advice at all, take all your antibacterial cleansers, no matter what they're for, and throw them away. I give you my personal guarantee (if that's worth anything to you) that regular cleansers are every bit as effective as antibacterials. Not only are regular cleansers just as clean, but they are also much gentler on your skin. Ask any doctor.

I started experimenting with chastity in January by getting a Curve (have only just got the bf round to admit he enjoys the idea) I have been experimenting with lubes, started with water based but quickly moved to baby oil as I found I needed some form of lubricant for the nocturnal hardons pulling on the scrotal skin and making it quite painfully stretched and the water based was drying out long before this.
With baby oil I quickly discovered the issue lubyanka mentions here of it being a perfect place for bacteria to thrive, to say the least, even after thoroughly cleaning the Curve including using some diluted Dettol it quickly became quite smelly in the area within hours.
I've since moved to Silicone lube, it stays moist enough to lubricant as necessary and doesn't dry up. It does require cleaning up and re-applying as all lubes would do, but crucially, the BF has mentioned he loves how soft and smooth it makes the skin on my cock feel. (A side effect I love as well)
Heh, silicone is non-water based, so in that sense I consider it part of the oil-based group.
One helpful tip I discovered is that whilst I will only use a water based lubricant within the cage portion of kvetch's device, I find that any kind of lubricant at all can be used on the scrotum, and the slippier the better.
