we used to get leaf cutter bees on our roses they are amazing
We keep bees (I'm old enough to admit to that) so I'm not very kind to varroa mites. We have masses of bumbles trying to find places to nest. Unfortunately, by leaving doors open in the hot weather there are a few that have set up home inside the workshop. Its bad enough having to leave the sheds open for the swallows - this could be a whole new experience! Luckily bumbles are wonderfully good-natured so I doubt it would be easy to provoke one to sting you. I'm not even sure if the huge queens that you see at this time of year can sting.
Hope you feel less guilty now LadyG, I don't mind bee's it's wasps I don't like usually manage to get them out through an open window or door.
Take care Lady G, you did what you had to do.
