Neoprene hoods are a good starting point for pups however they do come with their cons. Neoprene can be a very sweaty and claustrophobic fabric so may not be the best choice if that is a concern for you. I have a fairly slim face so I struggle to get the eyes to line up correctly. With the hood being neoprene it’s very important you keep it stuffed with a shirt or something of the sort to keep the shape correct and no wrinkles. If neoprene does wrinkle it’s very difficult to get out.
I’ve outgrew my neoprene hoods as such and I now prefer leather but you can’t complain for the price and accessibility of neoprene. £69.99 does seem a bit steep but it’s roughly the same price on all other websites.
This hood got me into a pup headspace so quickly, ready to crawl for my owner and bark at any commanded moment! Don’t get me started on the instant urge for belly rubs and head scratches!
Pros: High quality item, affordable payment methods, instant headspace maker
Cons: Little bit tight, hard to position eyes properly with a smaller head
Bottom Line: Well worth the money if you’re new to the scene
