Hi everyone. This is my first post so please be gentle. My question is for anyone with a vagina.
My husband likes to use his fingers on me down there, however, quite a few times his nails catch me inside and give me ouch moments which means it spoils the moment and i find it difficult to relax. I have asked him to keep his nails trimmed and have even given him a manicure to help smooth his nails.
Is this something that others have experienced or is it just me being over sensitive. What do others do or is it just a case of making sure his nails are kept filed down.
Weve had this issue in the past. I just asked him to keep them trimmed and filed and he now does. I think it was nore to do with jagged bits if nails rather than length but it can hurt so totally know where youre coming from
If a mans nails aren’t clean and tidy then I’m not doing anything with him, I’m not even continuing a conversation if there was any sort of sexual vibe there. If he doesn’t care enough to look after the basics, then he’s not going to care about other things.

Keeping them neat and smooth is a priority. I regularly check my nails to ensure they’ll be suitable for use during foreplay.
Even the longer nails, kept not too long and smooth, neatly filed, can still be used during sex.
Filing nails along with trimming is definitely a game changer, I’ve found that even with short freshly cut nails they can still be a bit rough and it causes me iteration. But after filing it seems to be fine
I always keep my nails short as is anyway. But I also know for a day or so after cutting my nails not to finger the Mrs as there can still be sharp edges
I guess you have to lay the law down as it’s your body. If they arnt kept short and neat then he can’t use them
Bless you, yes, it used to be a big problem for us, but I think enough times seeing me flinch in pain and now I don’t even need to remind hubby, he keeps them trimmed, you know, just in case.
A little idea I found that really helps: make him a “bedside bowl” that he can put his keys, lose coins etc in and pop a pair of nail clippers in there as a gentle reminder. Make it easy for him to keep them trimmed, so he doesn’t have to hunt for a pair of nail clippers before getting down to business. I hope that helps
Quite a common thing as the skin down there is sensitive and delicate, some more than others, so I’d just keep up having him trim his nails smooth. Alternatively you can get silicone finger tip things I think for play, often they’ll be textured to enhance pleasure.
Not all nail files are equal.
You could get a nail file with a very fine filing grade. They would be useless to shape long nails, but would be very smooth to use and remove jaggedy edges on freshly trimmed nails.
