Our backyard with pool is about 80% private id say, so trying to complete our coverage. I want to be able to move freely around our backyard area naked if I wanted to. My wife has warned our neighbors about just walking into our backyard without notice or they might see me naked for sure and possibly her. 
Would also like to be naked around others like you’ve described. We have several couples that we hang out with in our pools, but it’s never moved to naked time with friends in pool. We’ve only been to a nude beach once and I enjoyed it more than my wife. I’ve also been naked in hot tubs with others but in previous marriage. That was definitely fun!!!
our yard is PRIVATE. the houses on either side of us are at least 50’ away and single story. All homes out here have 6’ high cinder block walls instead of fences around their backyards.
That is nice, I’ll get there as no privacy fences are allowed due to HOA. 
Our fences at the back are 6ft so anyone in their gardens can’t see. But it is an estate of semi-detached houses, ten of which from the road behind can see in our back from their upstairs windows, some would need to crane their necks a bit though.
As simple nudity is lawful in the UK it has never stopped us if the temperature is suitable. They would be the voyeurs if they watched us.
The two houses either side of us just aren’t bothered, the one on the left of us couple in their late 20s who said it has given them the courage to sunbathe etc themselves although we’ve never seen them. Bricks adjoining is a postman in his 60s who gently strums his guitar in the evening and plays scrabble with his sister twice a week.
Having nice neighbours is a godsend.
I should have my 7ft fence built in the next day or two. I’m not sure I will go out naked into it but I will at some point make a garden room
Yeah I believe here in the US, even if you’re in your back yard you could get citied for indecent exposure if a neighbor really wanted to push it? I need to double check.

I agree with you on the respect and decency of your neighbors. Thankfully both of our neighbors are awesome older couples with no kids living at home, same with us. Grandkids might be around from time to time and I’m aware during those times. Also like I’ve said earlier, our backyard is getting closer to 
private. 
I am almost always naked in the pool anymore, then place a towel or trunks back on when exiting or walking around.
Same here with the US, guess that makes sense since early settlers here where from the UK….

We are both naked quite often when home! Especially after a good shower.
We have an HOA. The “fences” are cinder block walls that encompass every back yard. This is common in AZ and TX. The walls are 6’ high. All homes are single story.
That sounds pretty damn private then. I’m actually naked in my pool right now!!! 
Indeed, we could legally sunbathe or sit in the front garden naked as there is no distinction if you think about it, but it would be somewhat foolhardy to do so as the context of a back garden is subtly different in expectations of privacy.
I think @xman69 mentioned about small children. The lovely family that lived directly behind us bought a trampoline just before Covid and we feared the arguments would start when they saw us. They had a girl & boy, 7 & 10 ish at the time.
Their mum stood on a chair when we were outside to chat about our garden use, I was actually hanging the washing out naked at the time. She told us that they’d imposed rules for them to play quietly and not peek at us. She also said we should carry on as normal and if they became a nuisance to tell them off ourselves.
Such a nice family, it was a shame when they moved out last year. Never had an issue with them, apart from the odd time when they brought a school friend or two home to play and there were three or four heads saying “hello nudey people” about forty times an evening !
@Simon_101 yeah they probably enjoyed it, the neighbor parents. The under age kids are a different story for sure.
If the parents don’t make a fuss out of it, then children will see it as a mild curiosity and ignore it after they get bored and move on to the next thing. There is sensible debate and guidance within the naturist community about this.
The same as when we go on group walks. These are generally well planned to avoid the busiest areas, landowner’s permission sought if needed. Also very large walks, we inform the local authority and police in advance.
Even so occasionally we will meet others unintentionally. Most parents pass with their children and give a gentle hello etc.
Then there’s the outraged ‘alpha male’ who goes ballistic even if you’ve covered up with a wrap etc. Probably because he wants to be in the pub watching football anyway, rather than with his family. (you can spot the type at 200 yards) Enraged on behalf of the whole world and making sure you know it.
Which of those family’s children will be more likely to grow up into well balanced adults ?
I’m always naked at home, except when I’m cooking I wear an apron or have to answer a knock on the door, then I put on a light night robe and hold it closed at my waiste. If I have to go out shopping or whatever I usually only wear a mini dress and footwear.
I’ve answered our door at times with nothing but a towel around my waste, when the pizza delivery person arrives. My favorite times are when it was a woman, and I’m sure she knew I was naked under towel.
Al’s OH writing. Part of the Benefits of being naked at home is seeing my OH bend over! I love seeing his balls between his legs. Or his penis hanging down.
