My wife and I try and have these same weekends every so often. It’s a great time for us to unwind and really enjoy one another.
Really depends what you’re interested in trying. We use these weekends to dress sexy home and away, lingerie sets. Role play and trying new sex toys. Or it could just be having some really loud sex and not having to worry about it!

Never in 22 years have we even thought of having a “naughty” weekend …. I’m am very excited to have him to my self with no children… interruptions… every day crap around the house…:

As for wrist ties - I would either look around for satin ties - but personally use stockings- cheap and easily tied to wrist resistants and feel good too

We have kids too
We found some nice sex board games or exploring something new like wet look outfits or going to a bdsm dungeon as a date night out has been fun as a break away from kids
Make a list of things you fancy. Send to your other half and they can add a few more or cross off the not sures.
We always do dress up and have plenty of toys.
We are lucky to have a pretty big house so ‘normal’ sex isn’t really an issue day to day so long as the kids are asleep. Thanks to the creaky wooden floors, the long passageway, echoey upstairs landing and huge heavy oak doors that the kids can’t open and close without making a lot of noise, we always have plenty of notice that they’re up and about so we have a good few seconds to roll off one another and get into a less compromising position before our door handle starts to go.
When we have time alone without kids though, we like to be a bit adventurous and do stuff that takes a bit more ‘setting up’ that we just couldn’t do for fear of interruptions. We’ve got a decent collection of restraints that would obviously take too long to get out of and hide away if the threat of interruptions were there. My wife likes to dress up in various outfits / lingerie and we both like to be dominated from time to time. I really enjoy being restrained, blindfolded, gagged etc for extended periods of time while she teases and abuses me. Obviously this isn’t practical with the threat of interruptions either.
We are off in a few weeks for a couple of nights in a hotel while our kids both go away on a school residential trip. We booked the hotel the other day, I have bought lingerie for my wife tonight and she tells me she’s bought me some new cuffs and new gag. We’ll keep the surprises for when we get there.
Have a talk and see what she fancies, maybe once you’ve got an idea buy each other some toys / outfits as a surprise for the weekend. A real good idea for us was watching a bit of porn together, not the really ridiculous stuff but the quite realistic stuff that was in line with our kinks (for us it was the slightly more sensual bondage type scenes that we had the most common ground over) and we used them for ideas as a talking point to go ‘oh actually that’s quite hot, I would like you to do something similar to me’.
