well. my advice would be to think about the size you want to have. How girthy etc you want it. I personally prefer toys under 5 inches in cirfumference. My largest is about 4.75inches in circumference. whether you want vibrator or you want to try dildo. Flexible or firm? I guess thats those basic questions.
As for lube, it depends on what your body can take.Most lubes can cause trush for me, if they contain glycerin and paraben. But most people are ok with durex or liquid silk. I personally go for Sliquid or Lelo, as those are the lubes my body can take and not suffer a nasty reaction.
