Yikes sorry to hear this
Health and safety wise I wouldn’t recommend anything other than the correct item’s specifically tested and designed for sexual play, but maybe if you was to look on YouTube you might be able to find a diy tutorial to create something…
What about sports massagers, electric battery operated cleaning brushes or anything you can find that produces a vibration. With a little bit of work it could be modified to have fun with.
As a retired machinist and fabricator might I suggest looking for components from radio controlled toys . The small motors that are variable speed coupled to an offset shaft that would vibrate . As far as the outer body ( if insertable ) or external , I would choose the material carefully . Look for food grade materials to keep from getting sick from contact . Depending on your skillset and what your goals are , it could be a rewarding hobby . Good luck .
Stories - both apocryphal and real - of people attending hospitals having tried to pleasure themselves with household items with disastrous results are rife. Whatever you do, leave the vacuum cleaner alone !
You don’t say whether you’re a man or a woman - but as above sports and therapeutic massagers are often used as sex toys - the famous Hitachi Wand was never intended to be used as a sex toy.
Be very careful about adapting power tools even with the cutting/drilling surfaces removed - our Doxy Die Cast (one of the most powerful mainstream toys) has a 20 Watt motor, the motor in my ordinary household DIY electric drill is 500 Watts …
As someone who trained as a masseuse I agree with this so much.
Please please please don’t use any form of hand held massage gun as a vibrator!
Not only can you damage your genitals and rip the skin but those guns if not used correctly can damage your nervous system and also damage bones and internal organs.
I know it’s probably not what you want to hear but I wouldn’t recommend using anything that isn’t designed to be body safe. And when I mean body safe I mean made for those specific parts of your body and not just something generally used on your body.
The only safe alternatives my non creative brain can think of would be your hands. Or if you have a vulva then scrunching up a pillow and using it to grind on.
My general motto in life is if you wouldn’t want to explain a situation to a paramedic then it’s best to steer clear.
Sorry for not being more positive I hope you find a way that is safe for you.
When I said “sports and therapeutic massagers” - I meant a massager similar to a wand vibrator, not one of those pummeling massage guns - I think Jinx knows what I meant but just want to be sure everyone else does
We have one of those pummeling guns - they’re great for massage but I wouldn’t dream of using it intimately for the reasons Jinx rightly points out. I’ve seem penis shaped attachments for them advertised - you’d have to really, really know what you’re doing to use them safely for penetration or even non penetrative intimate play.
