There are loads of ways to introduce yourself into this wonderful realm of sexual pleasure!!
I personally love anal play and the key thing to start, is to know you're gonna need a good supply of decent lube - especially if it's going to be a regular thing for you and the OH!!
I love Lovehoney's own water-based anal lube and Lovehoney Delight (water-based lube) - this one is white and creamy like 'cum', perfect for fantasy play!
I would suggest researching beginner's and small butt plugs. I have the 'Lovehoney beginner's' silicone one and 'Fifty Shades Darker' silicone small plug. Both of these can only be used with water-based lube, (and loads of it!) to avoid material damage to your product.
If you choose a plastic butt plug, you should be fine with either silicone or water based lube, do research this though.

Many use anal beads, including myself. A small silicone set is rather pleasurable. Again, I have the Fifty Shades mini ones. The silicone feels so heavenly, from insertion to wearing, to slowly pulling out when climaxing!!
