New toy issues; not fitting

omg this is so embarrassing…
i have been using the Blush Novelties Gaia Biodegradable 7in vibrator for like a year and a half probably, and i just recently decided to treat myself to a new toy. i purchased the Lovehoney Dream Rechargeable Thrusting Rabbit, and when I went to use it, it just straight up doesn’t fit; no matter how much lube i use, it feels like it hits a wall and starts to hurt when i try to push it in past the head of the toy. i’m 18 years old and i’m a virgin, but both my fingers and my Gaia dildo are able to fit in me with no problem.
just wondering if anyone had any tips for how to make it work!! i’m really not looking to buy another expensive toy atm, plus i really like what the Dream Rabbit does, so i really want to give it a shot
if there are any specific positions i should try it in, or literally anything, please please send them my way!!

I think you just may need to spend more time getting aroused and wet play with your clit more and slowly try to slide it in and out going in little more each time, don’t try to just push it right in take you time, I can assure you that it will go in :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

It’s not just you. I have this toy and honestly don’t recommend it. Whilst I am able to use it properly, something about the size, shape and weight make it very uncomfortable. You can try working up to it, but honestly I’ve only ever found it uncomfortable, even when very aroused.

Maybe the best thing to do is send it back for a refund/exchange for something that is more suitable. The beauty of the LH promise. No expert on the toy, but doesn’t seem like it us working for you! Good luck :+1:

Hi @amaire

Welcome to the forum

I have just researched both vibrators and it seems that your original one is only 3.5inches in girth but your new one is 5inches - so that’s quite a difference, especially as a virgin you may find it uncomfortable.

It may have been a good idea to slowly increase the size to make it more comfortable for yourself.
So if you started with a 3.5 then maybe go up to a 4inch next time, then after that try a 4.5 and so on.

Maybe you should have a few more trys after taking some tips away from here.

As you said you already use plenty of lube, that’s fine.
One thing I would recommend is try inserting your fingers and see how many you can put in - if you are able to insert 2 or 3 fingers then have a little play like that first then try inserting the toy once you’re feeling aroused.

As @Cupc8kes says, it sounds like it’s a bit of a jump in girth and maybe you’re just not ready for it yet? 5inches is fairly chunky.

We’re also all different shapes and sizes so it will take time to work out what sizes and shapes work best with your body - it could be this one will never work for you.

If it were me I would probably use the sex toy happiness promise to return it and get something less girthy that you can enjoy straight away.

It’s up to you so if you do choose to keep it, then just take it slow, follow the advice from others and don’t pressure yourself. Just remember that if it doesn’t work out then it’s the fault of the individual toy, not you - so don’t let it worry you about sex or put you off trying other toys in the future.

Good luck

just try to get yourself aroused more by playing with yourself using your fingers and then moving on to a vibrator using abit of lube then use the new toy by rubbing it on yourself and inserting it very slowly dont put to much pressure on yourself just as a thought do you use porn to get yoursef aroused good luck

Hi @amaire . As others have said you need to be well turned on and gradually work up to going bigger. We had the old version of this https://www.lovehoney.co.uk/sex-toys/butt-plugs/large-butt-plugs/p/colt-xl-large-silicone-butt-plug-4.5-inch/a28800g46877.html that she used to use to help getting the vagina used to stretching by gently lowering onto it.

I agree with other people commenting on the jump in girth size.
Since u are a virgin I would recommend you getting a 4 inch (girth) dildo first and then work your way up to the one you have purchased.
I have found this one that is a reasonably price and since you are 18 I am assuming you are a student so would get the 25% off too.

I’m 19 years old and you are the first person I have found on this site who is around my age, I would love to connect!

hi!! i just posted last night haha, and after taking what everyone said into consideration, i think im gonna give myself a couple days to see if my current toy (https://www.lovehoney.com/sex-toys/vibrators/rabbit-vibrators/p/lovehoney-dream-rabbit-rechargeable-silicone-thrusting-rabbit-vibrator/a36358g74086.html) will work for me. if it doesnt, im gonna take advantage of lovehoneys happiness policy, and i was wondering what people’s thoughts were on this one?

my main issue with the first one is the girth; i have been using the gaia biodegradable vibrator for probably a year and a half now, and that is 3.5 inches, so upgrading to a 5 inch one was definitely stupid on my part!! the one i’m considering is only 4 inches, so i feel like it’d be an easier transition. i’m a virgin, and i wanted to get a toy that had the dual stimulation and is rechargeable, and from what i can see, the one im considering fits that pretty well. however, i am still pretty new to this lol, so any experiences or advice y’all have would be super helpful to me!! <3

I’ve never been a big fan of the rabbits. If you’re looking for stimulation but don’t need the penetration then I can highly recommend https://www.lovehoney.co.uk/sex-toys/vibrators/magic-wand-vibrators/p/lovehoney-deluxe-rechargeable-mini-metallic-massage-wand-vibrator/a37806g73479.html

I find the rabbits awkward to handle so the user experience isn’t as pleasurable as it should be. But of course it depends what you’re looking for.

Don’t forget you can always use two separate toys at once, one for your clit and one for internal. If you like your current dildo and you’re just looking for extra stimulation it might be a better choice to buy a clit vibe like a bullet, or a pebble? You then can enjoy the existing dildo and new vibe together or separately, so it’s a bit more versatile.

Rabbits can be amazing - and they are quite often splashed everywhere in the media as THE women’s toy - but they are also anatomy dependent as everyone’s relevant bits and pieces are positioned slightly differently. So some rabbits may work for you, and others may always be in the wrong spot.

Personally as I’ve got more experienced I’ve always preferred to go down the route of two separate toys, and I know a lot of people on the forum do the same. Not to put you off a rabbit if that’s what you really want

Your new rabbit choice looks like a much better girth, but I just want to double check you’ve noticed the insertable length is only 4 inches. I think you said your current one is 7 inches, so just make sure you aren’t going to be disappointed with the new length. (This obviously depends how much of the length you’re using on the current one, which may well not be all of it)
