New year, not so new me! I am back 🄳

I try to be as open as I can with my experiences so that if it offer any use to others in their adventures or troubles then at least my stuff can serve as a greater positive.

Hopefully this year will be better for all of us than the last few ones

Thank you for the really kind words :kissing_smiling_eyes: it is strange thinking back on it all but in a good way I feel lifted from it and even at the end I was able to maintain my neutral collective and didn’t argue or anything.

Thanks dude, That is true and many of my friends started to see how negatively it was playing on my mental health. I’ve made a promise to myself this year to stay true to myself and not be made to feel like i have to be different or put so much effort into making things work as it really never seems to turn out to be worth it in the end.

I’m so glad you was able to get out of your toxic relationship and hope your finding a much better place to be happy and exist in.

Indeed I was told the same in that a relationship is made up of two half’s that need to put the same in for balance… that kinda makes total sense now.

I definitely feel much better in the long term now I’m on the outside of it looking back and can see just how much wasn’t right in it all.

One thing that poked warning signs for me was how easily they got annoyed and wanted to argue on stuff or they’d quickly jump to thinking I was against them all the time. I understood they had mega baggage like many of us do but I never stopped supporting them or showing they could trust me…
I just hope they can find a way to work through all their problems to help free them.

Yes indeed there’s much frog kissing and minefields to duck doge and dive from but with every wrong step we get closer to the right path and sorting the toads out from the frogs haha :frog:

Aw it’s nice to be thought of thank you :hugs: I’ve missed being on here loads

And I’m not a zombie quite yet!! lol :zombie:

I’m feeling more optimistic for the future I think and not gonna be too clingy on the idea rushing to find love. After all of all fails I can marry myself and live in a house full of toys to keep me happy

Very true and I’ve always been one to say to my friends that life is like a jigsaw puzzle where you’ll fit right in and connect to the right people but never feel bad if one of the pieces don’t fit as that’s just not part of the bigger picture.

Know exactly where your coming from. In a very similar boat. Meeting people, let alone the right people, is so difficult at the moment.
Being happy with yourself and in tour own skin is such an important lifeskill. But its never an easy one to learn i feel.
We are all whole people who dont need someone to complete us. That being said it is nice to find the right person to share things with.
But i completely understand (and agree) that pinning all your hopes on this kind of idea can lead to heart ache. Finding a happy balance and peace with yourself is definetly a healthy habit.

My sister found her someone randomly after abandoning the idea of ever having a partner. So you never know.
These things seem to have a strange sense of timing about them.

Indeed I have, and the funny thing is that I wasn’t even looking for it, really, being focused on finding myself as you are doing now. During which time, I found someone completely unexpected and, a decade later, can only be described as my soul mate.

Just remember the 4 non-negotiable things in any relationship: Friendship, Loyalty, Respect and Trust. If you don’t have all four, do you even have an honest, true and equal relationship?

There’s someone perfect out there for everyone. It took me 40 years to find mine, but it was totally worth the wait…!

Only if I can have a sticker for being brave after getting bit

Your so right, all the best things never are easy and some say it’s so you can appreciate them more when you finally achieve it.

Wow that’s lucky for your sister!
Maybe the way forwards is to not try so hard and just live life to the best we can.
