Hey all! So my partner and I love trying new things, something I'm sure many of you feel the same way about, and I was wondering if any of you guys have anything in particular you can suggest we move onto?
We started out with ice play, and from there we moved on to improvised restraints with scarves and ties. Our only Lovehoney purchase at the time was a bullet. From there, we purchased bondage tape, a blindfold, a love egg, a gag and nipple rings. So where can we go from here? We've both said we'll try pretty much anything but ideally I'd like a continuation on the current kinda-bondag-ish theme. Thanks guys :)

I'm a bit of a bondage newbie myself, but we've recently invested in the Tracey Cox Supersex Soft Beginners Bondage kit (http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=16308) and we've found it really good to take our BDSM play to the next level. We were improvising with dressing gown ties and all sorts before! But this is really versatile, as you can either tie it to your bed, or a chair, or use it to make a hogtie etc., there's just so many ways you can use it.
Have you experimented much with impact play and spanking? If not, then perhaps you could start out doing some light sensory play with a feather tickler or flogger, progressing on to light hand spanking and see how that goes. Again, we've recently bought the BB Faux Leather Flogger (http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=30775) and it's great for beginners, as it doesn't hurt too much.
If you really want to heighten the experience of sensory play, you could wear earphones and listen to music as well as being blinded, as it will further enhance your sense of touch and anticipation.
Depending how far you want to go, there's also things like bondage candles and e-stim etc, but that may be a bit much at the moment.
Also, have you considered playing with Dom/sub role plays?

If you like ice play you could try chilling a glass dildo before use (the Tracey Cox set is good and currently in the 3 for £75 deal: http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=17187) and if you like using nipple rings, you could try nipple clamps or even a clit clamp.
As for other suggestions, you could also try experimenting with electrastim toys, massage candles (the wax can be dripped onto your skin) or spankers.
Boogaloo, I'm not sure about roleplay, since I imagine one of us would just burst out laughing :') I hadn't thought of blocking her hearing though, that does sound like something to try ASAP!
Ruby, I love the look of that chest harness and hog tie, definitely on my list of things to buy when I have the cash. As for a glass dildo, we're currently looking at the glass spiral one after another recommendation on the forum. So far the only thing stopping us buying pretty much everything on the site is our budget; we're both students and my course in particular is a real cash sink. I think I'll try the glass spiral dildo, chest harness and hog tie in that order, as and when I can afford them.
The 3 for £10 offer is a fun and cheap way to try new things in general, and there are a fair few basic bdsm feel items. The massage candles in particular would be an experience you could enjoy and add in with your current play. There's also a bondage card game, a clit clamp, a tickler, lots of little things that could enhance your play without breaking your budget :)
Just have a look through the bondage section and see what takes your fancy, then just use your imagination.
Remember that communication is key when trying new things, so maybe look through the site together. Or, you could both sit there and separately write things you are interested in and things you aren't, swap your lists and then discuss!
Definitely a lot of things here to have a look at. As for those who've mentioned the 3 for £10 deal and similar, one thing we've done is decided to get 6 things from that list, mututally agreed on 4 and then each surprised the other with one other thing. It was a big success :)
We will be getting one of those under bed restraining systems . There are 2 diffferent makes that both fall into different offer categories. We are hoping to base our choice around one of these offers which essentiaslly is buy2 get one free almost .
The under the bed restraints are good next step, after that maybe some rope - there are some great easy beginner rope bondage guides online, then after that, if you're keen, maybe fancy leather cuffs and ankle cuffs that are extendible with spreader bars and chain etc.
