I love a good cuddle before sleep but I’m glad to read these comments and realise it’s normal to want to sleep away from each other. Me and my last bf did that and we often said it feels weird to be all cuddly then suddenly turn our backs on each other

My OH and I always fall asleep either holding hands or having a hand resting on top of the others. I always snuggle into his arm, to the point where he’s actually putting a bit of weight on me. Odd but very comforting. I have my best nights sleep when I’m with him!

I breastfeed my 2 year old to sleep then close my eyes and make several sacrifices to the gods (joking) wish I could sleep, squeeze my eyelids harder and curse my husband being able to fall asleep in seconds. I eventually maybe get an hour or two a night. I have insomnia/painsomnia as part of my chronic condition. Basically lay awake inner swearing at my restless legs

I put cream on the bad patch of skin on my shin, moisturize my ever increasing forehead, put on hand cream after a day working with steel then read normally until eyes start closing. Sometimes fall asleep playing words with friends only to drop the phone and wake me up Or the wife will lie on me and look for ingrown hairs or blackheads in my beard

I’m the very same @Yes_man OH can doze off in any position no matter what… I usually have to wait until she’s asleep so I can wiggle away and have my own space, I do be finally dozing off myself when I’m abruptly awoken by her squeezing my arse/humping me (she tends to do this in her sleep a lot!)

Sounds like it’s just me and my husband that go to sleep facing opposite ways on our own sides of the bed with no touching what so ever
To be fair we do our ‘cuddling‘ earlier on in the evening once we’ve got the kids to bed

Bed to self here! BUT I can’t sleep without my ritual, face serum, brush hair, window open, make a cuppa round about 10pm, get my blanket over the quilt, snuggle down and put Enigma’s album MCMXC A.D. on. Normally asleep by the second last track. Or I doze off on Discord to my friends and wake up at 3am with my headset still on!

I try and go to bed 1/2 - 1 hour after Mrs Sen as I tend to snore, which keeps her awake, which makes her tired, which makes her grouchy. If I do go to bed at a similar time, we rarely cuddle (for long) before going to sleep, I simply generate too much body heat and its uncomfortable for both of us.
For actually falling asleep - I play a round of golf in my head. Usually only get to do 3-4 holes before I’m asleep.

I was going to like this, but it might be taken the wrong way… sounds terrible, I feel for you…we all need a good night’s sleep.

When we are ready to go to sleep we pray then lie side by side holding hands until we fall asleep.
