Hi. Is there a way to not see posts from a particular user? A few times now, I have seen some posts that are extremely disturbing and should probably be followed up directly with the posting member by either a mental health specialist or local crime agency. Of course its up to LH to decide who can or cant be a member but it surprises me that some of the members are not kicked out immediately when they post about commiting and enjoying criminal activities. In my opinion, it’s not enough to simply delete their offending posts.
Click on the member’s profile and where it says “normal” under their profile pic, click on it to mute or ignore.
And if they have a hidden profile you can do a similar thing from your Preferences/Users page
If you feel they’re in violation of things and bordering a line then I’d recommend contacting customer services to raise awareness for this or flag them if able to.
@Lovehoney_Brenna is the first port of call for forum moderation, rather than Customer Care. If you wish to include more than the standard ‘inappropriate’ flag, you can use the ‘something else’ option and leave a message that way.
Yes totally agree. Well put @Ian_Chimp
Yes, please flag any posts you see that you feel break the forum rules. If you do not flag the posts I am not usually aware of them.
As a newbie if I say anything inappropriate please feel free to tell me directly peeps !
I haven’t seen any posts like this? But yes just report the post and Brenna will look in to it.
I don’t think you logged on before the post in question and the thread it was in got flagged and they took it down for review But I do get why people are outraged, it was around someone commiting a crime (multiple times by the sound of it) of a sexual nature, which should obviously be flagged as we don’t want to encourage/see that
Be glad. It was vile. I reported it and have since muted him.
What is it with some people.??? Why would you post something you knew was vile and offensive.
I despair at times.
I’m afraid I am unaware of this particular situation, but @Lovehoney_Brenna won’t be in until Monday, so it may be best to put a pin in it until then?
But for the Ignore feature, you shouldn’t be able to see that user’s posts, and their avatar is blanked out in Likes, etc (though I believe their profile picture still shows up in the topic lists and polls).
For Ignore, you need to Add → username and timeframe (eg. forever) → Ignore → Save Changes.
In a nutshell, they were bragging about masturbating in front of customers in a High Street store.
First I’ve heard of this but bloody hell, that instantly makes me want to never see anything they post ever again. Deeply unsettling that there are people like that around thinking it’s ok and to brag about it on social media so out of touch and thinking others would find it acceptable. Wish some people didn’t fail to see the line between sex positivity and perversion.
