Not wanting to see a particular members posts

Hi. Is there a way to not see posts from a particular user? A few times now, I have seen some posts that are extremely disturbing and should probably be followed up directly with the posting member by either a mental health specialist or local crime agency. Of course its up to LH to decide who can or cant be a member but it surprises me that some of the members are not kicked out immediately when they post about commiting and enjoying criminal activities. In my opinion, itā€™s not enough to simply delete their offending posts.

Click on the memberā€™s profile and where it says ā€œnormalā€ under their profile pic, click on it to mute or ignore.

And if they have a hidden profile you can do a similar thing from your Preferences/Users page :+1:

If you feel theyā€™re in violation of things and bordering a line then Iā€™d recommend contacting customer services to raise awareness for this or flag them if able to.

@Lovehoney_Brenna is the first port of call for forum moderation, rather than Customer Care. If you wish to include more than the standard ā€˜inappropriateā€™ flag, you can use the ā€˜something elseā€™ option and leave a message that way. :+1:

Yes, please flag any posts you see that you feel break the forum rules. If you do not flag the posts I am not usually aware of them.

As a newbie if I say anything inappropriate please feel free to tell me directly peeps !

I havenā€™t seen any posts like this? But yes just report the post and Brenna will look in to it.

I donā€™t think you logged on before the post in question and the thread it was in got flagged and they took it down for review  But I do get why people are outraged, it was around someone commiting a crime (multiple times by the sound of it) of a sexual nature, which should obviously be flagged as we donā€™t want to encourage/see that  :+1:

Be glad. It was vile. I reported it and have since muted him.

What is it with some people.??? Why would you post something you knew was vile and offensive.
I despair at times.

I followed the suggestion to ā€œmuteā€ or ā€œignoreā€ the particular member but today noticed I could still see the photos they have posted. It sickens me that we have people like that in this world let alone on a members only site. I expect that I may get some flack for this next comment but in my opinion allowing them to get their kicks on the LH forum adds fuel to their uncontrollable urges and could potentially give them an added feeling of power to be even more of a menace than they already are. For those who saw the post I would like to ask : would you be comfortable with that person being near children or your friends / partners? If the answer is no, then they shouldnt be on social media either.

Iā€™m afraid I am unaware of this particular situation, but @Lovehoney_Brenna wonā€™t be in until Monday, so it may be best to put a pin in it until then?

But for the Ignore feature, you shouldnā€™t be able to see that userā€™s posts, and their avatar is blanked out in Likes, etc (though I believe their profile picture still shows up in the topic lists and polls).

For Ignore, you need to Add ā†’ username and timeframe (eg. forever) ā†’ Ignore ā†’ Save Changes.

In a nutshell, they were bragging about masturbating in front of customers in a High Street store.

First Iā€™ve heard of this but bloody hell, that instantly makes me want to never see anything they post ever again. Deeply unsettling that there are people like that around thinking itā€™s ok and to brag about it on social media so out of touch and thinking others would find it acceptable. Wish some people didnā€™t fail to see the line between sex positivity and perversion.
