Would anyone start an onlyfans. Doesn’t matter on age
I’m not sure anyone is buying what I’m selling
I feel the same.
Personally no, but each to their own,
From what I’ve read and heard, if you want to build a fan base and actually make money it’s a lot of work and time.
I’ve always said no (I keep meaning to create a blog page to that effect, life always throws something else my way before I do!).
Having watched some documentaries about the way some people treat these adult entertainers, it’s just not for me. Not only, but your body and sex essentially becomes “property” of OnlyFans and their fans - people want more and they pay you less when they don’t get what they want from you, which OnlyFans demands *good content" from you when you complain about your lack of earnings. You’re playing with fire too with future career prospects as no employer wants to hire someone who has taken multiple dicks on camera for a month’s pay and good looks don’t last forever. Some girls (and possibly guys) bank on it affording them a lavish lifestyle then splash out, only to have their fans move on and then they’re left struggling to make ends meet. Better to have a real job and make it a side hustle if you’re going to, and for the love of all that is holy, stay anonymous.
@Gareth @JGood I’m not having that in my presence, you’re both lovely. None of us are perfect, believe in yourselves
I would 100% if i thought it could be succesful but I think a lot of people underestimate the amount of work it requires. We tried one for the Mrs (feet only) and I spent the entire day replying to messages that went nowhere. I get its like any business where you have to put in the initial time/effort but honestly not feesable unless you’re unemployed or have the faith to throw 100% at it.
As a blogger myself, one of the biggest
causes of failure I see is how often people underestimate how much time and effort these things take, generally. You have to keep responding to messages, keep creating content, keep being social and not give
up, even on the bad days. There’s very little “initial” and a lot more “constant”, unfortunately, as much as I wish it was the other way around sometimes
My FBF has an OnlyFan account, she’s a single mum with 4 kids, got a good job but still really struggles for money, she had been looking at ways to make money so I jokingly said why don’t you do OnlyFans, she thought it was a stupid idea as “no one would want what she’s got” then we started thinking about it and thought it wasn’t that bad an idea, she’d be in control of her own content and we just had to find something she could make her “thing” at first it was feet as she has a foot fetish, she tried some initial photos on her phone but they were awful so the idea fizzled out.
Anyway a few months later, in a conversation, somehow it came up that both her nipples were really deeply inverted, I’ve known her for over 30 years and it was the first time she’d told me, we share everything, anyway that was the lightbulb moment, said to her inverted nipples could be her thing, she didn’t realise they were such a fetish, told her they were a massive fetish for many, what she doesn’t know is I’m one of those!
So her onlyfans was born, I lent her the money to buy some used camera equipment, light ring, light reflecltors, etc, she did a basic photography class online and started taking photos, this results are pretty good.
She mostly does inverted nipple, boob and lingerie shots, absolutely no vaginal shots, if she does a wide shot she wears one of her many masks, mostly to stay anonymous because of her kids.
It’s been fairly successful, she’d not making millions, she was able to pay me back fairly quickly and is making just enough to live fairly comfortably.
Her biggest problem is her time or lack of it, her job is fairly full on, and with 4 kids means the only time she gets to take photos is at night or when the Dad has the kids, also her subscribers can be quite demanding and not understand the no sexual content thing, its all about, and only about her inverted nipples. She says it difficult to block someone who’s paying money but if it has to be done so be it.
She would probably recommend it, but its not as easy as it’s made to look, or a profitable.
And no I don’t subscribe, she made me promise I wouldn’t as we’re like brother and sister,Ive seen some of her photos she was prepared for me to see but thats it and I respect that.
@Yes_man financial struggles seem to be commonplace these days, unfortunately. I’ve started raising and selling guppy fry myself, though likewise I don’t know how successful I’m going to be until I start shipping them in the new year. I’ve got a beautiful self-created strain and I think they coukd be popular as their tails look like flames. I don’t want to make millions, even £300 a month would help to take the strain off. We don’t have any habits, kids or a car to fund, fortunately.
I would if I could devote myself to it but know it’d probably not take off as I’ve not got all to foundations built up for it or the equipment
I wouldn’t mind accepting a donation if you can’t flog your goods
I’m too lazy for the amount of effort it would require.
@Yes_man definitely a market for every kink
i’ve chatted with a few folks who’ve done it, and being interacting loads really helped them to grow
Also…a friend of mine, in her late 30s, started one and had great success with it! She found spam OnlyFans Pricing Guide super helpful in setting up her content strategy and figuring out how to price things. It took some time to build an audience, but once she got into a groove, it became a nice extra income.
Its definitely a decision you need to think about. I’ve thought about it and would quite like to start. But you need to give a good think about it, as OF often requires often content and fans can demand more and more and won’t pay if you don’t. It can affect future career prospects, especially if you are more sexual about it, e.g. sex scenes on it. Personally, id stick to just sexy/slutty photoshoots, lingerie pictures and the odd nude
Pardon my ignorance but what is only fans.
An online platform for creators to sell content, it doesn’t necessarily need to be of an adult nature but that’s what it’s most known for
Thanks for the info.
