Our Sexy 2024!

I think it’s officially an annual tradition at this point! I started tracking sex stats for my wife at the end of 2021, and 2022 was my first full year of data. It was originally just a series of tally marks for the number of times we had sex, my orgasms, her orgasms, and a space for anything additional of note per month.

2023 I expanded it to enter by date (so I would know if I had forgotten to update it) along with tracking for:

  • Orgasm counts for each of us
  • Type of sex we had (bedtime, quickie, sexcapade, virtual, etc). A common question of definition: a “sexcapade” for us is a premeditated time set aside that usually involves more exploration, use of toys, lingerie, bondage, etc.
  • Positions - I still haven’t figured out how to do a multipick in the spreadsheets, so I have limited to primary and secondary positions per encounter, which is not great data - would be fantastic if one of these years I really pump up the program so that if we use 10 positions during our time together they can all register. As it is, it’s primarily what positions an orgasm occurred in, though it may just be the two we spent the most time in.
  • Enhancements/Detail tallies for tracking whether we included anal, bondage, cunnilingus, fellatio, roleplay, toys, etc.
  • Notes column for naming any toys used and any other incidents/qualifiers of note.

2024 was tracked largely the same as 2023. I believe a couple additional positions were added to my selection list, and I’ll be including a few additional points I’ve pulled from the metrics available. So, without too much more ado, here is a recap of our sexy 2024!

Sample set demographics:

  • Me: 39, Male, Married, Monogamous, Heterosexual
  • Her: 39, Female, Married, Monogamous, Heteroish (bicurious)

Annual Context:

  • I began the year with a broken foot and discovered in February after 8 weeks of using the maximum daily dose of NSAIDS (Ibuprofen) I was experiencing frequent erectile challenges. Additionally I traveled for work more this year than ever before (4 weeks).
  • She also had a heavy travel load this year for work, including 9 weeks between March to May, 3 trips in September, 1 in October, and two full weeks in December.

Kinkiest Month: June, as determined via a formula that factors percent of sex that was other than missionary; other than bedtime, midnight, or morning; daily average encounters, his and her orgasms; and finally multiplied by tallies for oral sex and toys as well as weighted tallies for anal, bondage, pegging, and role-play. I played with a variety of inclusions (does the absolute value of sexual encounters really matter if daily average is a factor? Should the tallies be divided over the total count to achieve an averaged distribution?). No matter how I sliced it, June was a landslide winner. Key points for June:

  • We managed a 1.00 average daily sex count despite my travel away for 6 nights that month.
  • 53% non-missionary, 2nd place behind March (55%) and December a distant third at 42%.
  • 33% non-bedtime (February a distant 2nd at 23% and March at 21%)
  • High score inclusions: 3x Anal, 1x pegging, 7x toys for her, 1x toys for me
  • Anniversary Weekend we managed a child-free getaway for the first time since May 2023 to celebrate our anniversary and posted up 7x in 36 hours. Definitely helped the numbers.
  • Ironically, June actually posted Mrs. LRLRL’s lowest orgasm rate (per encounter, not per day) at only 83%.

CLOSING THOUGHTS
Damned if I know what any of this actually means, except that having more numbers doesn’t tell any more of a story of enjoyment than not having the numbers does.

The year started off really rough for me with an injury. My foot was in a boot for 4 weeks, coming off mid-January, but it didn’t really slow us down too much: we both had a 100% orgasm rate for the month (everyone who wanted one got one) and worked in a couple more adventurous romps together despite it. February is when I discovered that popping the maximum dosage of NSAID pain relievers was probably the source of some recurring ED and felt like a low point. We had several times in a row that setting aside time for more intense sex together resulted in an uncooperative penis and a disappointed wifey, even though my head was really in it. Resulted in more than a few nights as I detoxed the pain relievers that she said she’d rather not have sex at all than get all riled up only to be disappointed. Turns out, actually, that bedtime was easier and some romantic foreplay (cuddling, kissing, holding space for emotional intimacy) was more effective than surprising me in lingerie and toys in hand. That was definitely a personal low point and headed into a busy spring of travel for my wife with multiple weeks away through March, April, and May, but our numbers don’t reflect a dip, indicating to me that we did a good job prioritizing our intimacy even as we had larger chunks of time apart.

My penis continued to misbehave occasionally throughout the year, still - a combination of age and circumstances. But we also adapted a bit and learned to work through it. During everal of our sexcapade times throughout the fall we found erection would wax and wane just a little more than I used to, and we learned to play through it, resulting in some first experiences for both of us (multiple times of “soft” orgasms during pegging and masturbation - not hands-free, and not dry orgasms, but full ejaculating orgasms without a firm erection - as well as several occasions of managing some “soft entry” of my flaccid penis into her vagina and continuing until ejaculation/orgasm, usually fully hard by then).

Other numbers that just don’t tell the whole story include our orgasm gap. While our total sexings is down even below our 2022 numbers, her orgasms count and average fell much less - below 2023, but above 2022, and decreased at a much lower rate and that as a function of orgasms per sexing, we are closer to parity than ever before (my average for the whole year 0.96 orgasm/sexing and hers was 0.95). This also reflects a maturing of my insecurity that the absolute number of times/orgams is what counts and a security in understanding that when she’s happy to go one and done, that’s good enough for me. Our penultimate quickie of the year I held off and encouraged her to go for a second after she’d ridden me good already and I ended up blowing before she was ready, so her second was all toys - dildo and Melt - and a longer work for her than it was worth. Oops.

Other surprising things: we pegged less this year than last. I was shocked. The pegging we did do was worlds apart from anything we’ve done before. I would have thought we were twice as frequent with it, but apparently not. The numbers don’t tell the whole story. Not even close.

The Annual Word Cloud: (Figure 6 - Spicy Word Cloud) this time in included the columns from our Type of Sexing as well as Positions columns for inclusion with the word cloud. Top 10 words are:

  1. Bedtime (256)
  2. Missionary (251)
  3. Prone (57)
  4. Melt (55)
  5. Period (50)
  6. Dildo (27)
  7. Cowgirl (26)
  8. Quickie (24)
  9. Sexcapade (19)
  10. Doggie (14)

And finally, a tribute:

This post is dedicated to our beloved We-Vibe Melt. It has fought nobly to defend the pleasure of my beloved wife’s clitoris. It has recently developed hard lumps and is struggling to power up regularly. It is not long for this world and a replacement has been ordered. It has served with strength and honor. May it rest in peace.

Did I miss anything? Questions? Comments? Concerns? Let me know in the replies!

What happened to the 69’s? They seemed to disappear after February!

Also as a man that likes a good data set I’m very impressed with your data collection and publishing of the results.

Dagnabbit, my data dropped the tallies! In my position tracking there should have been additional occurrences of 69 in August and November. There were two more occurrences of “69” in my general notes column that didn’t get included as positions used in December and September.it’s a problem of my limitations in tracking positions. With the current limit to two columns for primary and secondary, if we both cum in different positions they get the slots for primary and secondary. If we cum together in 1 position and 69 also occurs, then it gets the secondary slot.

Upon taking that closer look, another example of the numbers not telling the whole story: September showed as the “most vanilla/routine” month, but our one sexcapade that month included wife riding the very girthy unicorn dildo with her Womanizer on her clit in her wetlook catsuit before zipping it up with an 8" dildo in her pussy; sitting on my face (still with dildo inside and driving a 7" dildo into my ass while 69ing and stroking me; riding me with a girthy extender; both of us covered in oil.

But yes - the chart is missing those pink parts of the bar in August and November. Thanks for catching that. Not sure if I’ll update the chart link with a new image or not…

Holy cow, you have an impressive collection of data here!

I’ll come back to the post tomorrow to better analyze what you wrote, did you use any apps?

Like you, we collect loads of data. Very detailed for every shag, every act. Unlike you, we never get round to doing comprehensive stats :joy:

Interesting statistics and such commitment to record it all!
Actually gives quite an insight into things and reckon with more years added to this it’ll become more of a reading for you to see peaks and dips plus other stuff

Wonder if other couples were to do this also and cross reference it with everyone there would be things to link together

You are certainly a busy couple
I don’t think even at our prime we were having half as much sex
Good work on your statistics lol

I use a Google Sheet that I originally co-opted from somebody’s running training tracking spreadsheet. As I found it it was already set with some linked sheets for listing different types of workout, different shoes, etc, as well as prefilled with formulas for tracking daily, weekly, and monthly mileage. I reassigned some things (so the linked tables for “run types” became “type of sex”, the table for shoes became positions) and then duplicated other columns as needed (so the daily/weekly/monthly mileage counter became one for each sex, his O, and her O).

And then the rest of my assessment is just basic spreadsheet work in Google Sheets. Someone smarter than me could certainly automate more of it to more effectively spit out year-end numbers as well as year-over-year trends and tracking faster. Doing it manually of course increases the risk of dropping stats when something just doesn’t transpose in the tally. For example this year 69 disappeared after April on the chart I shared. It occurred plenty, it just got dropped in the tallies. Oops. And again, from the way that I have been using the tallies, 69 occurred a whole lot more often than reflected, it just only gets a tick when someone cums during. I am adjusting the way I count positions this year to try and be more inclusive and capture all uses.

This is incredible :astonished: just fantastic work!

I started tracking orgasms at the start of '24 but soon failed to keep it going. Couldn’t have dreamt of this level of data!

Thanks! The two biggest tricks for me were:

  1. It’s on my phone, so even if I don’t “track” it right away, I can do it as soon as I remember, wherever I am.
  2. Finding a system that tracks entry by date so I know if I missed an entry.

After that, the hardest part - if you can’t tell from all my longwinded reflections - is deciding what and how much to track. I’ve considered more things every time - should I track who came first? Or simultaneously? Some place to explicitly track the cause of each orgasm (was it her rubbing her own clit, or was it a toy, or oral? Once I start splitting those hairs, if she cums riding my face should that be tracked differently than if I’m going down on her?) Ah, anyway.

Always lots to think about. And plenty of room to grow and change year to year.
