Paying for Porn

I know there a loads of free porn sites, but does anyone pay for it?

I'm looking for something "basic" for a first time watching together and was thinking of downloading an Ericka Lust film based on what I've read about them being more "female friendly"

However, to be honest, I'm just a little wary about entering credit card details on such a site. It migt be undeserved, but i've heard stories of them being "less than safe" shall we say...

Any experiences?

Never payed for porn never ever will.

I am not going to tell you what to do,obviously, but telling you what to do lol, never ever enter your cc details into a porn site. There is one popular site that appears to be trustworthy, aside that no.

Use a recognised and well respected antivirus software, at the top of your screen it should tell you weather the site you are on is safe or not, normally says not trusted. You are on LH for example, at the top in the search bar it says "Lovehoney" you now know it is safe.

I do not really watch porn as it is so false, Santa is saying "Hold my beer" Everytime some one say's he does not exixst.

To summon, never ever enter your CC details into a site that you do not know and trust 100%

Failing that give me your details i'll see you alright ;)

Nope and never will. As above poster said it’s so false and gives unrealistic views on sex. I had a ex friend who used to work in the porn industry and some female porn stars often used lube that made women’s vagina numb so they didn’t feel pain from rough thrusting and be over the top moaning I.e faking just got entertainment and other rubbish which shocked me and found it horrible and kinda creepy.

Hello, Yes, please pay for porn. Many free sites steel content from creative providers and it's unfair on those who produced it. Use sites you trust, or see if the porn star you enjoy has a subscription service, there are a few trusted services to check out for, and you will realise which ones are trusted by how popular they are with porn creators. Trusted providers will use trusted methods of payment like credit card, ect. But if things go wrong, your credit card provider should help rapidly. Good luck, and enjoy watching =).

I totally agree with this! Please DO pay for your erotica.

I have used BettersexOnDemand for years and have never had a problem. Yes, there is some not so couple-friendly stuff on their site, but there is also some very, very good erotica.

Pretty much anything by SexArt and Daring Media Group on Bettersex will be gently, loving, sexy and very stimulating!

On reflection having read this post, there are a lot of girls who rely on people subscribing, as said do pay for a girls site. All I will add is stay safe as to where you enter your cc.

Erica Lust is a well known production brand and independently owned. I believe they have a vested interest in keeping their user‘s data secure, like many businesses. Paying them directly supports actors and creatives in what is a generally poorly paid and sometimes exploitative industry. On the creative and aesthetic side: Lust‘s work features male actor‘s faces, and realistic sex and seduction a lot more than is typical, so appeals to a lot women too. it‘s not just aimed at the 'male gaze' in other words. I‘d love to see more producers of this quality on the market, personally. If you‘re concerned about data analytics of your viewing habits, hard copy is better than streaming.

Much like any other type of online shopping, there will be reputable sites that are secure, and then there will be the ones who aren't. Do your research first. The little padlock icon in the bar at the top of the page does not always give the guarantee one would expect.

Thanks for the advice. Having decided to give Erika Lust a go by downloading one of the shorter, cheaper films as a trial run, when you get to the checkout, there is an option to pay using Paypal so there is no need to even give out card details. Even safer and easier than I thought it would be and the film was only really the price of a pint so worst comes to worst, we've not really wasted anything. .

Let's hope the Mrs likes it! :)

+1 to paying for porn if you can afford it. It supports the creator and you can select whether to help folk producing real porn, content targeted at particular fetishes/perspectives or even the fake stuff (if that's what you like!)

On the credit card side, many will use a trusted third party payment provider or simply be big enough to supply their own service.

Just seen your response - good choice :)

@Gosig Why does the padlock icon not always give a guarantee? I thought it meant that the address was https - therefore encrypted / secure..

@300 - the little padlock means that your interaction with the site is encrypted. It doesn't tell you about the security of the website. Someone could still hack the site to steal data or plant malware (for example). There is no easy way to tell if a site is secure against that type of thing.

@FunnyMonkey. True!

Some anti virus programmes will actually inform you if a website is malicious, or advice you to be cautious. For example my A.V. has coloured ticks next to sites that are listed after I have typed in a search programme. Green being okay all the way to red meaning don't go there.

Can’t you just use a prepaid card? The Visa cards you can get? So you’re not putting your details in?

I've paid for some original stuff before. Mass produced studio porn isn't for me.

I know you have already said you've paid - which I think is great by the way. It means people in the adult industry are actually getting paid rather than having to fight for it in an already over populated industry.

But just thought that I would add, if there is anything you aren't sure on (even after doing all the relevant checks etc) pay using a credit card rather than a debit card. Credit cards have more protection than debit cards. It's often a lot easier to get money back, or to resolve fraudulent transactions with a credit card company than it is a bank. Food for thought anyway. Happy Sunday!

What the monkey said, which I didn't really explain very well.
