Well if we start by rephrasing it in a different way.
If you think to yourself, “I’d like to start a conversation about pegging and letting my wife realise it’s something that sounds like great fun together, as I’ve often fantasised about it”.
If you have to talk her into something then It won’t be equal pleasure for both. Yes she might still do it just to please you, but isn’t really ‘into it’ then maybe it will feel artificial.
Pegging is half about reversing the dynamics and half the physical sensations. I’m not professing to be the world’s expert on the practice, but the second or third time we did it, I could tell she really got into it. Without that invested emotion, I may as well have bounced on the toy myself on the table alone.
So it is important that you get the conversation right in the first place, as with any new thing. Only you know her and how to approach subjects, but for this one I broke the ice by scrolling over the LH toys when there was a sale on and hovering quite a while on the strap-ons etc. As @CandB_Toy_Story said, we’d played a teeny bit with plugs (more for me) so it wasn’t totally out of the blue.
