Well if we start by rephrasing it in a different way.
If you think to yourself, “I’d like to start a conversation about pegging and letting my wife realise it’s something that sounds like great fun together, as I’ve often fantasised about it”.
If you have to talk her into something then It won’t be equal pleasure for both. Yes she might still do it just to please you, but isn’t really ‘into it’ then maybe it will feel artificial.
Pegging is half about reversing the dynamics and half the physical sensations. Is the reason you wear a condom while being pegged, is it so you will not cum everywhere? Unfortunately for many of us men there are times we go soft when being anally penetrated. Usually I will stay hard if I stimulate my penis at the same time, give that a try. For me though, I don’t wear a condom when being pegged, no need to.

It’s pretty normal to go soft. We normally have a towel down anyway to catch any mess when doing anal play so fluids flying about isn’t really a problem.

Some people are totally put off by butt play and are not interested. The fact she’s been honest with you is great, and that’s a sign of a healthy relationship.
You just need to accept her feelings on these sorts of things as pushing for stuff will usually push them further away and just become annoying and nagging from my experience. One thing everyone needs to remember is life is not porn, vaginas aren’t always wet, dicks aren’t always hard and certain positions are visual rather than anything else. So not every person will be into the same stuff. Pegging is quite extreme for some, so maybe just ask if she is put off by butt stuff and if she is then solo play will be your next step. If she’s into butt stuff but pegging just isn’t for her due to how she feels then see if you can just try fingers or a smalll dildo while she performs oral on you etc.
but you won’t be able to go from no butt stuff straight to pegging .. that’s quite a jump and will probably freak someone out if it’s totally out of the blue.
