Lookin on some advice on bringing toys on our holiday, my wife is getting a bit more confident with using toys and we are going to Valencia in two weeks time, no kids going so adult only fun , i am wondering how do people bring toys in there suitcase or do you pack in hand luggage, thinking of a wand mains powered and vibrator, last thing you want is your bag opened up at security…
Take batteries out where you can for checked luggage or put things in travel mode…. They can go anywhere tbf the airport security will have seen it all so I wouldn’t worry to much if they go through things you’ll best off just owning it …… another tip I’ve heard but not tried is put things in clear zip lock bags and mark them as personal massagers …… at least no one should handle them then
I would personally pack a corded wand in checked baggage simply because of size. I would NOT pack anything with batteries in a checked bag. if it turns on for any reason your bag will be opened. Also, checking rechargeable batteries is a hazard.
I can tell you I have traveled with the Lovehoney Rose in my checked and never worried about security. The Mantric Rechargeable Bullet Vibrator is always packed in SOs carry on. I have packed non vibrating dildos in carry on too. Security isnt looking for sex toys so as long as yours doesnt look sus on the xray, you will be fine.
We have traveled all over with toys. Always in check baggage. Take the batteries out if you can. If not try to make sure that the toys cannot get turned on by an accidental bump etc.
The people that check the bags have seen it all. No need to worry at all.
We carry our toys in a small bag in our onboard luggage. It was been opened by a female customs officer at Charles De Gaulle airport to reveal a wand a couple of vibrators and a strap-on dildo. She didn’t bat an eyelid and neither did I.
Don’t stress, take the batteries out, all will be fine! Have taken toys in both hand luggage and checked in luggage, never had any issues. Worth remembering too that everyone at security is fixated on their own stuff, even in the highly unlikely event where your stuff gets taken out for extra checks… it’s likely no one will notice as they’re too busy trying to cram their belt back into their trousers while balancing a backpack on their shoulder
This last vacation we took a pretty good collection and just packed them as neat as possible and put them in my checked luggage and didn’t have any issues! Fun travels!
In case you decide not to take things on the plane, Spain has a chain store called Ale-Hop that sells all sorts of devices, things like cables for your phones, etc. Some of the massager/stress reliever devices they sell may well be branded as that but they are clearly designed for massaging certain parts of the body more than others. Have a fun trip.
