I text with friends and relatives across the country ( US) and out of everybody only one person uses talk to text . At first I thought she was drunk or had a stroke . It can be a bit of fun being a philologist every once in a while .

I always type, which for me is not great becauss my spelling is average at best 
.
I’m definitely a typer, I struggle to speak sentences without stuttering and pausing, technology usually gets fed up with me and refuses to work…
I use a voice recorder to record my unboxing of new purchases so I get all of my initial thoughts down and then convert it to text and add to my review notes. I wouldn’t use it for forum posts because I waffle way too much
