Well, they’re different substances. My precum is very salty in almost a buttery sort of way. My cum on the other hand is a bit more bitter, almost acidic. The usual things suggested to improve taste of cum is to clean up your diet - less alcohol, more fruit, don’t smoke. Garlic and onions and other vegetables can push it more toward the bitter side I hear, but I’m never cutting that stuff out.

My present partner doesn’t drink much alcohol…never has coffee and has a sweet tooth…and I love the taste…smell and consistency of it. Never been with a smoker so cannot comment on that.
Look at your diet and see if anything in it can be making it taste as it is…or maybe accept you just don’t like it.

I couldn’t have written this question any better. Yes, pre cum is very much water like and even the straightest guys can handle it easily. Ejaculate is a different issue. It’s gel like with a much stronger taste. I can’t answer your question directly other than sharing my experience. I had to work through it the first few times on purpose and with determination. After the first few times it became a no big deal issue. These days I still don’t go looking for it but have no hang ups with it either. I would equate it to brussels sprouts. I hated them for years. Met a lady that feed them to me and I could choke them down. Married now and if I get brussels sprouts I can eat them but don’t like them.

I don’t think it’s about the taste. The key is how much you want to taste it in the moment.
As I am sure has been covered in depth previously, many (probably most) men (including me) lose the urge to taste it, 0.1 seconds after ejaculation, even though it seemed like a really horny thing to do before ejaculation.
