Pubic hair on penis shaft

Yep, I have hair there too, I shave every couple of days. We both like it nice and smooth down there.

I have hair there too…. Well I do if I let it grow. I use hair removal cream on the shaft and balls. I leave something like a Hollywood strip above and that’s it. Would recommend it. Doesn’t hurt at all.

Yes this is most common and I’d say majority of men have this even if they’d not like to admit it. I personally get a few strays hairs up mine and either shave or pluck them.

I’ve only had one partner who had hairs up the base of his shaft, so mildly rare but not unusual! I’m sorry to say that I didn’t like it - hairs getting in my vagina cause a lot of irritation so I prefer it removed but not stubble, or with a condom to avoid the scratches.

I shave and I’m the same, sure it’s nothing to worry about.

I’m fascinated by this thread. Mr John is really quite hairy (make no secret that I love it all, chest, arms, legs hmmm). But his shaft is totally hairless, what are the odds!

My penis has hair that grows up to about the same area. I think there will be some physiological reason for this.
I’d imagine the porn stars remove the hair for aesthetic reasons.
I think your own experience is most certainly normal… I wouldn’t go plucking hairs as this could cause bacteria to enter the pore and cause a spot or worse a boil… you don’t want that on your penis !!!

The Plucking idea is bringing tears to my eyes… stop it.

I get the odd hair even further up, almost at the glands / frenulum but its only 1-2 occasionally, but yes, hair up the sides about an inch or so, easily dealt with.

My husband’s pubes keep growing about an inch up his shaft. He just keeps them trimmed short like the rest of his pubes :scissors: :+1:

Hair growing up the penis shaft is totally normal. As an ex Dom, I have seen a variety. I did once have a liaison where the gentleman’s hair grew all the way up. It was like a prickly wire brush and very uncomfortable. I imagine if he had shaved, the stubble would have been a real regrowth problem. I would have offered to pluck the hairs with pliers, er… I mean tweezers :smiling_imp: but he wouldn’t let me!
Anyway, it’s normally nothing worth stressing over.

@Mrs.John that’s an interesting point because I’m not a hairy person at all especially for the average man. I don’t grow much facial hair, have any back or chest hair (naturally) and about an average amount of leg hair although I trim that anyway. I’ve never fully grown out my pubic hair as I’ve shaved/trimmed it all my life although I’d say it’s pretty average in terms of amount and growth rate. So that’s interesting as it doesn’t seem correlated to overall natural amount of body hair.

Thought it was just standard to have hair around a quarter of the way up? I had a spruce up last week for the first time in ages. Was pretty overgrown down there. Trimmed everything to a 3, shaved the meat and 2 veg with a razor and same with the crevice. Looks and feels so much better:thinking:

Lasering the shaft of the wee fella just sounds painful and cruel!

I’ve always just shaved the based and the sporadic ones further towards frenulum (like @Senator mentioned). However I’m questioning if that’s the right thing now based on comments around stubble and irritation. Have to say I never thought would be felt in that sense, obv a big (and wrong) assumption to be making.
In all fairness never been something the OH has commented on or mentioned in past by anyone.

@Diggerman_Baz and those using cream, is that better re regrowth?
Certainly want to avoid the wire brush scenario @tpatch talked of :crossed_fingers:

Actually it’s not that bad at all I got for a full Brazilian! ( everything bellow the belt )

One thing is if you laser your testicals there is a side affect that could leave you sterial but most have not seen that !!!

The pain is similar to snapping a rubber band on your arm it’s actually less painfull than getting a wax!!!

The treatments last from 6-8 weeks !

Before this I could never shave due to my sensitive skin and cuts ! With this the hair falls out at the folical leaving no trace of it behind everything is perfectly soft and smooth !!!

There is no irritation after and the redness goes away about 30 mins after !!!

@Mr_Kink1 I have used the creams and have BADLY burnt the skin on my penis and balls due to the creams I DO NOT RECOMEND THEM AT ALL!!!

@Spennymack Thank you my friend, I’ll continue my work forming a wire brush :joy:  :joy:

I too have hair on the shaft. When my daughter was born about 10 years ago I had to shave right down for the vasectomy. I haven’t gone back since but have tried other things:

  1. Hair removal creams - If me and Mrs. Val are going away for a holiday, I typically run this through my entire crotch to take all the hair off. Some of the stuff I used burned the skin bad, especially through the anal region. I love the feeling of anal stimulation and don’t have the dexterity to shave this as close as I would like. The problem is, and this sounds dumb, but farting is an issue. I have found that hair in your ass helps diffuse the sound of farts, and with no hair the farting is extremely loud - no squeakers are possible and I have to pull my butt cheeks apart to let a quiet one go. A friend of mine who was going through chemo treatment for cancer said his farts got louder when he had no hair in his ass. I will take loud farts as a trade for anal rims with no hair, but since Covid we have gone nowhere together. I still take the razor over my asshole from time to time but it causes other issues.

  2. Waxing - I waxed my shaft in private once…once. I bled so much I have scars - likely from pulling the wrong way or skin being so thin… either way I have never waxed or tweezed my shaft. I resorted to shaving again but have to be careful as I can only shave one ay as I get ingrown hairs. Ingrown hairs on my shaft are nasty and can take weeks to go away - something I am not willing to risk

  3. Shaving - Only way for me to go for reasons described above. Some have talked about shaving each other’s partners “areas” but that never really happens in reality. I’d enjoy doing hers more than her doing mine I am sure but usually just keep things trimmed and tidy - it’s never perfect.
